This fruit was mentioned as Lord Shiva's favorite and even leaves. In it seems, sages found all the nutritional values and made it part of our ritual so that they will not extinct and we will not forget them. Now we acquire knowledge of nutritional benefits. I got blessed with one fruit in the temple. I will try this thank you. Today I went to the temple and 1 fruit fell as a blessing I prepared a drink today. Thank you. :)

Mai Doha mein rehta hoon aur pichle 10 saal se ye fruit dekhta tha malls mein lekin kabhi khareeda nahi tha. Aaj pehli baar khareedke ye juice banaya maine aur sab ko pasand aaya. Thanks Chef Kunal for this recipe.

This brings me back to my childhood. Summer vacations and i use to accompany my grandfather to a pond near my village for early morning bath. This pond was surrounded by these bilva trees which we use to grab while returning home in chilling sun. It was a trek of 4-5 km. This was our welcome drink back home by my grandmom . It was an energy drink for the day You need not add ice here, the potency of fruit itself is cold. Use clay matka water and this will become nectar with earthly flavor.

One of my favorite! My whole family love this fruit and this juice. Its a very common cuisine during summer. We also love to eat it like as is. We just break the fruit and sit and eat it scooping with a spoon. Its one of my favorite pass time. Lol. Its an amazing fruit with so many benefits.

धन्यवाद, कुणाल. आपने एक भुले हुए फल की व्यंजन विधी बतायी। क्या आपको इसके फायदे पता है ? हमारे पूर्वजों ने इसे शीवजी को अर्पण करने को कहा, क्योंकी यह शीतलता प्रदान करते है।और हमे पता हैं, शीवजी को जलदी गुस्सा आता हैं। अब इसका आयुर्वेद में महत्त्व बताया गया है, शीतलता, थंडक देता है, पर मधुमेह(डायबिटीस) में शक्कर को पर्याप्त मात्रा में रखता है। जब दस्त(जुलाब) होते हैं, तो शरीर में पानी की मात्रा नियमित करता है और दस्त भी बंद हो जाते है. उच्च रक्तचाप(ब्लडप्रेशर) को भी ये नियंत्रित करता है। हमारे यहां(महाराष्ट्र) इसका मुरब्बा भी बनाते है। हमारे घर के आंगन में बेल के पेड हैं, और इन्हे 20-25 फल लगते हैं। मैं इसका शरबत बनाके, दोस्त और सगे-संबंधीयों को देती हूँ। मैं शक्कर में बनाती हूँ, क्योंकी हम साल भर दवाई की तरह इसे पिते हैं। गुड भी डाल सकते है, पर वोह जल्द ही खराब हो जाता है। 🙏🙏🙏

My favourite, is ki khushbu or taste dono hi bohot acchey hain, Mujhey to kuch kuch peech jaisa bhi lagtaa hai. Ham bhi ghar me is ka sharbat (consentrated) bana k rakhtey hain. Ye aap ne sahih kaha, fresh banana zyada faaeda-mand hoga.

Hi kunal...pleased to see, u bring back the authentic recipes..way back to our childhood in bihar, my grandmother used to make it alternative days in summer..she used to soak the pulp with some sugar in the cold water for like 30 min...then strain it..otherwise ur process is same..love the way u dhow it...This drink bring back the nostalgic memories from childhood. ..love it..

@@blessed9491 hi it will be dissolved when you soak it for 30 min. and then mix all the things by spoon. then remove the seeds by hand and mash it. After this, u can strain the mixture. And bel juice is ready. add some ice too.

I had made bael sharbat following your recipe. I the evening I put the leftover sharbat in popsicle moulds n put them in the freezer over night. now I am enjoying a popsicle to beat the unbearable heat

In our Odia new year we drink Bela pana..and it's that Divine Taste...we make it like you did and add extra tinge effect to turn it a blast taste..we add crushed black pepper and a little cardamom and a pinch of black salt....it gives a good smell and a sweet and spicy taste..👍

Depends on the quality of bela... But in my home we add sugar... Actually bela is so sweet itself... We just add so much water so to balance sweetness we add sugar... 😂 Just भारतीय माता की कहानी...

1. the bael are not ripe enough, proper bael sherbet will be orange instead of yellow. 2. add a little black pepper powder, it will give the sherbet a signature taste.
