A short trip from Bangalore to Kundapura to my friends hometown. Coastal area with fish and sea food in abundance. near by beaches and island is worth a visit. local delicacies and home cooked food is finger licking. Journey through the ghats and the serenity is worth the moment. The journey is Eye candy to nature lovers. Bangalore - mangalore highway is well tarred and passing through the western ghats is amazing. Kukke and Dharmastala enroute and several temples in the whole belt like udupi sri krishna temple, kateel Durga parameshwari temple, Sringeri Sharadha temple, Horanadu annapurneshwari temple, Gokarna mahabaleshwar temple, murudeshwar temple, Sigandur chowdeshwari temple, mahaganapathi temple and several others make it a piligrim retreat.
