Kunekune Pigs: Why do we have so many?

We have had some questions about why we have so many Kunekune Pigs. We have been raising kunekunes for 3 1/2 years now and are by no mean experts but we have learned a few things over the years and are learning more and more everyday.

Just a few acres farm is in a pickle right now since his boar can’t breed anymore so his last video he was talking about different ideas he can do as far as a new boar and such and 1 he talked about was buying piglets every time so I commented with your page link. 😅

Once yall feel comfortable with your level of knowledge on kunekunes, you should write a book about how to raise them. There's a distinct lack of books on this breed which is a travesty imo. You're really good at providing the education needed to properly raise them. Thanks for another excellent video!

Perfect timing on your video. I have two litters of piglets on the ground.. one is 8 weeks one ..one are seven weeks. And I don't like my boar. I have been trying to decide if I'm keeping him or not and your Ivideo made my decision. Going to keep one of the little boys out of the litter that I have and the big boar is going to go to freezer camp. Just don't like his confirmation.. little too long legged ..a little too long on the snout but seeing all your boars and the piglets help me make my decision and for that I am grateful. Please tell me how much feed you give to a mother sow and seven or eight piglets thank you.. and ask for being smart. I can attest to that. My boar figured out long ago that all he has to do is come up the stairs and open the magnetic screen I have on the back door and I have a pig in my living room. I look forward to your videos all the time. You're my favorite KZbinr

Hello John. I need help, I still can’t tell if my Gilt is pregnant, I must have the dates wrong but she is leaking a white substance from her back end and it is swollen and has been for a long time.

She may just be in heat. Is she in with a boar still?

@@KCFarms No, I took her out a few months back thinking she was pregnant. She is huge and she has been swollen for a long time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My son took my boar for a month for his two gilts and when I got him back I left her in with him for awhile then separated them. That was back in March when I got him back.
