Seeing how the Great Kung Lao was never killed by Goro and arguably lived a good life to the end, his legacy was never tainted with high expectations placed on his descendants. MK1 Kung Lao is cocky and sure of himself but he doesn't have much resentment and his more positive traits are better shown. Dude just wants a life of excitement and enjoys what's out there, not train his whole life only to be the second banana.

@@agentkronos6438 it's truly hard to say. The tournament in this timeline Liu Kang has claimed no one has been killed in its history so it doesn't seem like Great Kung Lao was killed by Goro. But outside of that, it's hard to tell but there's never been anything to suggest a horrible death overall. But the man apparently had his share of adventures in Outworld so who knows?

I disagreed tbh,with kung lao intro with sindel he said that it's unfair that human lifespan is so short compared to edenian, it's probably more so how he died of old age and sindel was there to witness it and was hopeless she couldn't do anything about it since it's the law of nature

I can understand how Kung Lao’s ego can be somewhat annoying, but i don’t see anything wrong with it, ESPECIALLY since most characters in the MK Verse also have INSANE levels of arrogance and hubris (examples being Kitana, Mileena, Sindel, Shao, Bi-Han and Shang Tsung)

Kung Lao is one of my favourite characters, here he could be his best version because he is not so arrogant like in MK11, ambitous and always loyal to his friends (and funniest 😂). My favorite dialogue is when Liu Kang says GKL would take pride in his. Lao needed that compliment. ❤️

The only Mortal Kombat media where the Great Kung Lao was the protagonist was in the 1998 live-action TV show Mortal Kombat: Conquest, which lasted only for one season.

@@B1ackWolfWell again, Liu Kang mentions that no one had even gotten fatally injured in the tournament so it’s likely old age or some other means outside the tournament was what led to his death. Maybe Sindel wanted to save him from his disease or something idk

Probably natural causes. In a previous Johnny Cage ending, he found the secret to Edenian long life, which means it isn’t natural. It might mean that they could’ve extended his life and shared their knowledge with him, but ultimately didn’t.
