The fact that you can teach in such a simple yet very informative way and then slow it down to show the techniques is astonishing!

When I was a kid growing up me and my dad used to watch the wheel of life dvd. And our favourite monk was the monk who used the double whips. Couldn’t believe it years later that I’d be learning Kung fu from you. Thank you 🙏

Your teaching style is really great! Just the right blend of encouraging caution while not reducing motivation or interest. Also your instructions are really clear and easy to understand!

Seems like a lovely instructor, and it is a very beautiful weapon in practice. Been years since I was in kung fu, but if I have a kid I’d love for him to learn one day

Ok so I just bought my first whip chain and I also made a practice one based off of it but I noticed mine is super long compared to myself where you are working within your waist to shoulder area my arm must be higher than my shoulder to not smack it off the ground... is it too long and if so how long should it be?
@UDGMTVLINK

It should be just about to touch the ground if you hold it with your tricep and elbow alongside your rib. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I wouldn't want to fight someone swinging one of those around.
@davidcrisp3832

It's not that complicated. 1. The chain has a weighted dart on the end. Swinging it fast creates momentum. Demending on how the fart is ussd, it will cause either blunt force trauma or impale the target. 2. Chain whips and similar weapons can be used to wrap around opponents and their weapons. 3. It can strike around shields. 4. It's a great psychological weapon. It's just a terrifying weapon to face. 5. The spinning techniques serve 3 functions aside from providing the weapons momentum. A. Constant practice makes the user intimately familiar with the weapon. B. They keep an opponent on defense. 3. The swinging chain provides you with physical protection from attack.

What is the point of this? Does it increase the power/momentum of the swing? Does it act as a strike? I'm wondering why to do this as opposed to just windmilling on each side, like how you reset the motion.
@notgray88
@notgray88 6 жыл бұрын
Yes it supposedly increases the speed that the chain moves

why? Why would it have raZors or blades on it? It's the user's own chain. Why would they put something like blades on it and make it inoperable for themselves?

Hey sir, I have a random question about the chain whip. Where was it stored, do people put it around their hip or their arm? I am curious 😮.. I used to do martial arts and I miss it and watch lots of videos on it for entertainment, but education.
