As our summer retreat is coming up soon in August here in Ireland (For more details on our summer retreat: kungfulife.lpa..., I've created this tutorial to help our attendees this Staff technique (Uppercut Spin) to get ahead with some preparation training for the Sumer Retreat training. We thought we'd share this tutorial with our KZbin followers as well as you might find this techniques useful.

Thank you Sifu for showing the trick of not hitting yourself! I use your videos to practice my training when I'm not at the academy I belong to. Since I'm still a beginner, the only staff form I've learned so far is Wah Lum Right Hand Stick. It's one of my favorites to perform. From the first day I subscribed to your channel; the Sifu's at my academy mention how much spirit I have. They also said my power has grown greatly. That's because from your videos, you've taught me well on how to get more power in my forms. Please keep these videos coming! My next form is White Crane which is beyond my ability right now. So I'll be training with you on the stretching technique videos until I can finally achieve a crescent kick, in which crane form has many of those. (at the moment, I can't even touch my toes! LOL)

Hello Sonya Usually the staff height a fist high then our head but some style like Qi Mei Gun will ask the Height with Eyebrow and others like Wushu Competition may ask two fist Height over head.

Why? The Master theaches you some important points to arouse your interest to study more by yourself. You can find a whole range of Shaolin forms be it staff be it fist at their site on youtube: Shaolin Kung Fu.

Brother we love kungfu as our soul.in Okinawa punches kicks upper lower middle double side kick outer wrap inner wrap some katas are syllabus.but we love wushu ,wingchun ,kung fu ,there is no minimum course to practice or love.even Jakie jet li didn't teach minimum skills to world.make a vedio for world to spread shaolin wisdom.

😊 the length matches your own height is great 👍 but also can one fist short or two fist 🤛 higher then your own height 😊
