I was having this conversation while watching the reaction. I like to think the number 7 could be a weirdly detailed picture of an octopus, because Charlie thinks they have 7 tentacles, even though the picture he draws clearly shows 8.

I think Charlie was reading notes he himself took. So it doesn't have to be coherent to anyone but him. And a lot of times he'll write in his own hieroglyphs that only he understands.

I'm thinking sexual sadist and voyeur. Both describe Dennis perfectly. He gets an enormous thrill from "wearing another man's skin", "standing near the executioner's switch". He played all these people as a total conman, reveled in the death and mutilation of the REAL Brian Lefevre, (which he could have played a part in, too) and enjoyed seeing everyone aghast when they realized they've been PLAYED over a 31k deal that was never going to happen. It could all fall under the umbrella of Dennis being a sociopath and a serial killer, I think.

Dennis's addiction to both control and attention would totally be a sexual release; he was being yelled at while being called out, Charlie and Mac were trying to dethrone him which didn't work, and Dee was still doing exactly what he said. Yeah, I could see why he would get off on that.
