You'll quickly find out Larry gets blamed for everything, even when it isn't his fault--like this episode. Jeff was late, then Cheryl made him change clothes for no reason. Yet Larry still gets 100% of the blame for them being late. You kind of understand why he acts like an asshole after catching so many needless strays.

I think the orchids were a tactic by the acupuncturist to make Larry say he was feeling good when the receptionist called. Idk if it’s that simple tho

Larry thought the acupuncturist was gay and making a romantic gesture by sending him orchids which made him uncomfortable and that's why he told the receptionist he was better, because he didn't want to go back and see him. Once he saw that the guy had a wife, he realized what happened.

I would be more upset if I was the one throwing the suprise party and it was spoiled, I wouldn't really care that much if the surprise party was for me
