Hands down THE most fun I've ever had on a group channel chatter. We gotta make this a regular thing y'all!

This is easily one of the best stream chats I've watched. The lineup works so well. Valuable and insightful contributions from all. I was very excited watching this and actually started talking to screen (yes I need help) , the Dragon is correct - this this to be a regular thing. Great hosting Shaun ❤

This was such a treat to listen to, hands down my favourite director, probably in any film genre.

I know I have posted a couple of comments already but I have just had a light bulb moment. For ages I have been thinking about Gordon Liu's character and the way he not only uses stealth fu but how he is able to manipulate every situation, particularly in the first half of the movie. I haven't been able to articulate his technique, I actually think he is a at gaslighting.

@@mitchsfridaynightsongclub2594 Haha! I suppose it is gaslighting in a way. Interesting that his style translate into such a “new” term.

Hung Gar has a sister/cousin style called Mok Gar that is very kick heavy. I'm curious as to if Lau studied that, since he does great footwork in Challenge of the Masters and New Kids in Town.

@@blakematthews9608 That’s really interesting. He seemed to dabble in all manner of Hung Gar so maybe?

Kara Hui's career reached a slump in the second half of the 90s, which culminated in her depression and attempt to delete herself in 2000. Although she did well in WU XIA, it was the bleak drama AT THE END OF DAYBREAK that helped reinvigorate her career as a legit dramatic actress.

I think Kara Wai's first film was Invincible Shaolin .

@@fuforthought she falls in love with Sun Chien, who unsurprisingly dies. (sorry should have warned spoilers) Shaw had a habit of "wasting talent" which isn't actually true. Because everyone lived on site, you often have really high profile stars who got bit parts and cameos in films - they just happened to be around.
