Hi friend. The young uns at my job always crack me up. They tell me how “cool” I dress. Like you said the older you get you just don’t care. You wear what you want. In the fall and winter I wore jorts with long boots and other outfits. I mix camo pants with button downs etc. They are soo amazed. All they wear are leggings or jeans and cropped tops. 🤦🏾‍♀️😂 Love love your vlogs as always!

Hi Kura, I love the little trips you take us on I’m NY. When you were asking how can I be a stylist if I have nothing to style? Maybe consider a clothing subscription box to get you through the transition phase. Or take some of the pieces you love in your closet and have them tailored. About 15 yrs ago I lost a lot of weight and was introduced to the fun world of thrift and consignment for reasonably priced but decent clothes during the weight loss. I would imagine you’d find so much more there in NYC than I did in western NY.

Take pieces in your closet that you love and have them altered. It will show people that they can still shop your own closet. I gain and lose weight all the time. I just lost 61 Lbs. I never get rid of anything because I will probably revisit that size in the future.

On your blue color note; I got this idea of going to a fabric store and testing out different color and finishes against me and how I feel towards them. Of course I got the idea from the color analysis craze which I'm not fully into according to their rules and results. For me it's more about how I feel with the color and a little bit of judgment based on my under tone. I just looked online at H&M and found a trench that is lined for $60.

I bought a few things from Zara because I too am loosing weight but I refuse to buy items that has poor quality. I returned everything to Zara I was so disappointed! Loose threads 🧵, flimsy material, one arm tight , the other arm loose… I couldn’t believe it. I’ve decided to shop at the more consistent stores like COS, Mango, BR and Dissh. I don’t want to buy too much clothes as I want to loose more weight but I just need a few items for Spring/ Summer. Just buy a few core items that can go with things you already have in your closet❤

I’d rather not spend my money unless it speaks to me. As far as jeans, I personally like old navy jeans because they come is all sorts of styles, shapes, and varieties for different body types. I’m curvy, so I buy jeans from the “rockstar super skinny ” line in old navy. I’m a size 16. Also, I do agree that as I’ve aged, my style has improved significantly to comfort only 😂. I’m also curvy and I find Good American has denim that fit nicely with inseam options as well as I am 5’11” tall. For a soft and comfortable option, GA has their SoftTech line of denim which feels like sweat pants.

Hi Shany!! I don’t feel attractive in denim either and I’m sure it’s connected to my body image.😩. It’s also just not as comfortable as other fabrics imo.🤷🏽‍♀️ However, I said this year that, even if I don’t lose one more pound , I’m going to dress the body I have and love it. 🤗 I’m hoping that I can find something that works for that makes me feel good. I think its valid that you are concerned about your budget while loosing weight. However you might be overthinking it a bit. Nowadays you have multiple possibilities for selling your clothes or donating. Oversized looks aren’t necessarily going away anytime soon. You may have to shop by fashion genre. Like “basics” first plain tops and plain bottoms. Skirts are very versatile despite sizing etc. i think it shop by section of your closet rather than the overall whole the less you’ll feel overwhelmed and disappointed. 🤎
