Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your queries, yes, you can use IC cards like Suica to enter Demachiyanagi station. You just need to tap/touch the IC card reader by the entrance with your IC card. As for the Eizan Electric Railway, it is a private company and a subsidiary of Keihan Electric Railway that runs a small railway network in north-eastern Kyoto. They have special sightseeing trains with large windows so that passengers can enjoy amazing maple leaves on both sides of the train track during autumn, among others. I hope I was able to answer your queries. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again! I hope you are enjoying your day! :)

I see the first train was pretty crowded when it arrived. Is there a chance to reserve seats on the Keihan train?

Hi! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, the first train you probably saw was arriving at Kyoto station. This explains why it looked crowded. But if you would notice, the train we rode going to Demachiyanagi station was not crowded at all. In any case, this train is a commuter train so unfortunately, seats cannot be reserved. A train arrives every few minutes though so if by any chance, the train is full or crowded, you can always wait for the next train. I hope I was able to answer your query. In case you haven't, I hope you can also consider subscribing to my channel for more useful travel videos. Thanks again for watching! :)

Is it not considered rude to get up from my seat and stand near the driver? I loved your shots of the moving train and would like to see the wide-angle view from the front... but I wonder if I will be an annoying tourist if I do that

Hi again! With regards to your query, no, it is not considered rude to stand near the driver to take some videos. In fact, during the peak season, you will notice a few more locals and tourists alike doing the same thing. If you want a good view during the peak season, I suggest that you sit near the driver already when you board so that you can easily stand up and position yourself when you see the autumn colors. Hope this information helps! Enjoy! :)

Hi Thanh! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, I think there are a couple of restaurants near Kifune Shrine specializing in nagashi somen noodles. Hirobun is the famous one, just a 5-min walk from Kifune shrine. I think it is open only during lunchtime though, from 11am to 3pm. I hope I was able to answer your query.
