Kurile Islands. Harem of fur seals. There are an average of 20 females in a harem. Males are very jealous and cruel. They constantly monitor each female. They are not allowed outside the harem. Fights for females are bloody. Leads to serious injury. The babies are growing very fast. Up to 2 kg are added per day. 8 days after giving birth, the females are ready to mate again. The more females in the harem, the more difficult the life of the male. He is obliged to pay attention to each female. But for some males, one female is enough. They don't get as tired and lose weight less. And no problem :)
