for the ones who dont know what happened here is the explanation Amanda Michelle Todd (November 27, 1996 - October 10, 2012) was a 15-year-old Canadian student and victim of cyberbullying who hanged herself at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Before her death, Todd posted a video on KZbin in which she used a series of flashcards to tell her experience of being blackmailed into exposing her breasts via webcam, and of being bullied and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death, resulting in international media attention. The video has had more than 14 million views as of February 2022. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and British Columbia Coroners Service launched investigations into the suicide. May she rest in peace. ❤️🕊️

It really pains me to know how cruel and careless people can be. This also wasn’t the first time something like this has happened. A couple years ago a girl was bullied so much she ended her life by jumping of a water tower. This needs to be resolved more than just going to see a therapist. Punishment is what should happen before things get even worse! The fact schools turn a blind eye on these issues is not funny. It can cause what happened here. If you EVER see anyone bulling someone stop them because you never know what could happen next.

this is why i dont encourage ANYONE male or female to ever send explicit photos to ANYONE. because the grass isnt always greener on the other side. amanda didnt kill herself because of the photos, but because of the people that mocked her wherever she went, ppl bullied her all over the internet, etc. R.I.P Amanda💔 you woulve been 26 today😔

I saw the original video, and no I’m not Canadian. The whole comment section was basically ridiculing her and was telling her to kill herself. The story is about how her uncle used to raped her and finally got set free after years of torture. A few years later after watching it, I came to know that she had killed herself because of what she’s experienced, and what she has been told by the internet itself.

Word ! True word, how many scoffers will continue to tell the mentally sick or over drugged person contemplating suicide on the ledge edge of a building to “Jump,” or a seriously emotionally disturbed person to “go kill yourself?” In Jest, or in triteness of heart ? Come let us Repent and turn our wicked ways of scoffing and talebearing. We must repent before it’s too late . After anyone dies without Salvation and true repentance, it will be too late to repent. Hebrews 9:27 to 10:30 of The King James Version Of THE HOLY BIBLE States: “27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” “

I didn’t think I would remember this case, even being in America it shocked those who were on the internet or kept up with news. This actually gave me trauma being a smaller kid and I completely forgot all about it, till now. The only reason I knew this because REACT channel made content out of it, and I was oblivious to it…

this sincerely makes my heart ache. she was such a beautiful and kind angel who was continuously treated so horrifically and unforgivably by humanity. words cannot even begin to do justice to the unimaginable torment that she was subjected to and i sincerely hope that all of those who did those abominable and heinous wrongs against her have/are receiving their extreme and well-deserved dosage of karma. may her soul rest in peace, it’s immensely tragic that such a young and bright girl took her life due to others’ vicious and relentless wrongdoings/actions..

Her story is so sad and honestly I feel that the people who mocked and bullied her are murders because they helped her in her death which is super sad and is another reason why we shouldn't bully ofc there is alot more then just bullies in this case but it's still a reason we shouldn't bully. This case also makes me sick to my stomach because I am now her age and I couldn't imagine this happening to me..

If u want more info there here it is: there was a normal girl called Amanda Todd and she would play with her friends in seventh grade. One day a man came to her and said if u don’t do a show for me I will sen a picture of ur boobs to the world. He knew Amanda’s friends, relatives and her. He lied, the boobs were sent to the world. The police questioned Amanda. She moved. In her new school she was involved with drugs and alcohol and had depression and anxiety. The man came back but had a Facebook page and her boobs were his profile pic. She cried and lost all her friends and respect. She started to cute herself. Then she was typing with an online guy and he said come to mine, I really like u and my gf is out of town. Amanda did so before realising how big her mistake was. When she went to his they had sex. Then one day the guy, his gf and her friends all moved to Amanda’s school. The gf said look around, no one likes you and someone shouted just punch her already. And so she did, she threw Amanda to the ground and punched her several times. Amanda wanted to kill herself so when she arrived home, she drank bleach, the ambulance came and saved her. Amanda moved but this time people would tag her saying I wish u died, kill ur self, drink more bleach and Amanda felt like nobody deserves this. So Amanda started cutting herself more and she got scars. She later suicided. Nobody deserves that and some of these people who bullied and told Amanda to kill herself are still alive today. Amanda didn’t deserve this and right know she is looking down crying in disbelief. So shame on some people!!! I hope Amanda is in a better place ❤

I heard the story of her and it's so heartbreaking. She was a high school girl who talked to a guy on a video call and he convinced her to flash him. He then sent the photo out for everyone to see it. As time wenton from the events of that day, she became severely depressed and took her own life and the man was found and sent to prison. People take blackmailing so lightly. This was blackmailing between teenagers I’m guessing but this is bigger than anyone thinks. There are HUGE organisations led by men in each country that makes money off of extorting explicit content from women, even girls as young as 12. If the women don’t comply despite the blackmail, they will dispatch a group of men to beat her up and gang-rape her. And you can easily find men online celebrating every time something bad happens to the victims.
