@@icecream-soup you are aware of the fact that this anime emphasizes teamwork and hence has to have other GOM players as selfish arrogant solo players right? And besides, the anime doesn't give a chance for the other GOM members to show their character development after losing once, seirin defeats them a single time officially and done, next tournament, next season. But seirin can lose MULTIPLE times and learn from their mistakes and hence grow more, but not GOM, because if they get character development, it's over. If seirin challenges any gom again, after the last game movie, it's over, they lost. Maybe they can handle midorima, but kise, aomine, murasakibara, and akashi? No way, they don't stand a chance against the new mentality teamplay oriented GOM.

If you think about it, Seirin vs Touou has the same effect like Karasuno vs Aoba Johsai had in "Hypekyuu"... In both cases, they built their rivalry through the series and they faced each other before the finals. In fact, Seirin and Karasuno both got defeated the first time by them, respectively. Aomine and Oikawa being like that "final boss" our boys needs to defeat in order to advance to the next round. PS: I know KnB came first, i'm just putting my thoughts on the similarities that these 2 spokon anime have.

Aomine IS the strongest but seirin have a better team that's all. In the clutch touou just can trust Aomine to make the shoot but in seirin that shoot can be taken by hyuga, kiyoshi or kagami.

Yea, this is definitely one of the best episodes, but the show really manages to keep the intensity up after, which I know you know from the next match. Still, gotta wait for season 3 for the 3rd place match (which, since this is a shounen, obviously can't be Akashi, since he's the captain), to find out why Akashi's the captain despite being a smol bean, and to find out about the incident that Kuroko mentioned

Объясняю для особо умных... Допустим базовая скорость кагами 50 единиц. А у аомине базовая скорость 80 единиц. К примеру вхождение в поток дает буст + 20 единиц к скорости. Получается - у Кагами 70 единиц. А у аомине 100 единиц. Так почему в зоне они на одной скорости,Если до этого Аомине полностью переигрывал кагами без шанса. Это все лишь Занижение персонажа во благо сюжета. Многие не понимают...Что у Аомине самый опасный талант в данном виде спорта... Те кто серезно занимался баскетболом должны понять...Одними прыжкамм игру не выиграть...Начиная с Навыков заканчивая физ силой,Аомине полностью превосходит Кагами и других челов из Поколения чудес. Это природа. С этим нельзя ничего поделать. Аомине Лучший!

okay, now that we're done with this arc i can finally make this comment :D imo touou is like seijoh, like aside from being technical rivals, they also have personal vendettas against the team so as compared to their other matches so far, the stakes was at an all time high in their match whereas shutoku is like shiratorizawa and kaijo is nekoma.

@@teddymecheto I am not saying you should react to them all at ones. But they do provide alot of backstory and they are sprinkled in between series. You should watch them in order along with the series. If you watch the special episode, you would know what kinda relationship aomine and kuruko had in past and why is kuruko hell bent on defeating. That last fist bump will have more emotional depth and meaning behind it if you watched the special episode. Special episodes are meant to be watched along side the series.
