I always thought it was on purpose. Since the GoM destroyed and played around with Ogiwara's team by putting the score 111-11. So Seirin took each 1 point back by defeating the five GoM. But then this is only my own opinion of the anime.

2:51 I noticed that before this, Aomine had the smugest look on his face all he time. But when he lost, it was like catching a glimpse of his old self, where every game lit a fire in him and pushed him to be better. Losing, made him come back to that bright eyed child he once was. When he came to the conclusion that he was unbeatable he developed this permanent cocky frown/glare that made him practically unapproachable.

One of the best post game scenes ever. This was such a wall for seirin it was amazing they even got close to beat. Also seeing Aomine beaten and wanting to buy new shoes is very meaningful. Many after game scenes are just a celebration while here everyone still thinks Aomine is the strongest (so it is clear their win was only a case) and it is more of a reconciliation between Kuroko and Aomine. While the team acknowledges that if they could beat them they could beat any kind of team. (Only Rakuzan which was a mystery until much later in fact is a strongest team than Toho)
