you will make yourself very sick wearing facemask, facemask donot protect you from virus a healthy immune system does that,if you get any virus and you have no symptoms you cannot infect anyone else, get on with your life theres absolutely no need to wear a facemask,if you get any virus symptoms simply take 2 x 1000mg caps liposomal vit c every hour until all the symptoms are gone ,high dose liposomal vit c blocks any virus from using glycosylation thats the end of any virus ,a virus increases its viral load by using a process called glycosylation to enter the cell and replicate high dose liposomal vit c will block any virus from using glycosy lation thats the end of any virus there is no need to wear silly facemask , that isnot real science ,facemask will make you poorly and they donot protect you from virus ,its fake pharmasautical science and it harms your health
I don't understand a word he said. But, I understood everything he said. There's something in him...I just like him. The way he communicates, his tone, humility, he seems a kind man. I understood it all

I bought a makiwara board same as his in about 1975 ( still have it ) used it every day for years palm strike .Fist .knife hand. Really builds up power and I am 80 now and no hand problems from hitting it .I was the only guy I know of at our dojo that used one.Although only 5.8" and 170lbs i could power punch through bigger guys blocks .And one day a guy was holding a padded punching board and he complained my punches hurt his hand through the padding .I also broke a guys arm with a soto uke block .Take it from me , if you want ( what they call ) a freight train punch , get a floor standing Maki board .Mine is concreted in my garage floor since 1975.

From the moment I saw him in Kuro Obi: I felt a strong , genuine, humble connection with him. Though I’ve been a 45 year practitioner of Shotokan Karate Do, I feel a very heartfelt connection with this remarkable man. Forever blessings

Very wise young sensei who tries to understand his ancestors' intentions, and doesn't cling to flawed interpretations of the old techniques. Karate is that mindset -- the intention to challenge oneself to endure -- while all the details in kata and kihon can evolve over time.
Teaching the karate with the body, mind and spirit aspects improves our own understanding. I live my practice and I love passing on what I have learnt. This is inspirational and humbling.

Good video, but the way you present these stories in isolation can create confusion for people not familiar with the history of modern martial arts. It would be nice if you also included some information about the larger Goju Ryu framework: i.e. IMGKA vs IOGKF vs Jundokan, etc. Chojun Miyagi's art evolved as he matured and students from different periods in his life reflect these changes in his focus at different points in his life. It cannot be said that one is particularly better than the other, rather that they reflect a different emphasis of a common theme. By glossing over this fact, you risk contributing to the confusion of new students faced with choosing from multiple associations who all (correctly) claim to be the "inheritors" of traditional karate. By the way, I am being specific to Goju Ryu, because that is the topic of this video, but these comments also apply to karate in general.
