I love this fight, just how Kenpachi has no reaction at all when being cut. He is so interested in how strong Ichigo is and finally has a great fight, so nothing else matters. Can you imagine what would happen if Kenpachi killed Ichigo only for him to go full hollow mode like when he was fighting Ulqiorra? Not sure every captain fighting together could beat him, excluding Yamamoto of course. Even then, I'm pretty sure full hollow Ichigo is enough of a threat for Yamamoto to have no other choice but to use his bankai to defeat. White scales directly to Mugetsu Ichigo after all.

There's ichigo's bleeding stopping here which isn't explained by soul reaper powers and seems to confuse kenpachi, there's the quincy cross on ichigo's bed and Ishida Uruyu's introduction episode features a mystery about why Ishida is able to source a large amount of quincy reishi from Ichigo's zanpakto.

Stop with all this retcon nonsense. In this, the true version of the story that we see very clearly during this arc, Ichigo is the son of the Soul King. That is the only real way to explain why Ichigo has both human and hollow powers and forms. The later arcs are noncanonical with earlier arcs as they are directly contradicted by the story up to that point in time and have NO FOUNDATION OR BASIS IN THE REALITY OF THE PRIOR STORY. There is a reason why the Genshin devs added a daily quest that makes fun of writers like Kuto Tite who constantly add retcon after retcon no matter that is has no foundation and undermines every part of the story that proceeded it instead of using what they already wrote to resolve and conclude conflicts.
