About hand to hand bodycam video. I watched 52 min interview with that Yakut soldier callsign Tuta. Here is summary [I already posted it on Martyanov's channel]: On Nov 16 2024 - two of them had mission to enter village on bike and place a flag. Bike was damaged by drone drop, so they proceeded on foot. They did not know that building they choose for placing flag was in fact Ukr command post. His comrade was off right there, while he managed to reach cover. Two ukr soldiers followed him, he got one and hid in a shed where second ukr tried to persuade him to surrender (actually stalling for time for FPV to reach them). After hand to hand happened, he took radio from ukr soldier, put a nade under his vest and after checked him in a head. Took cover in a basement with two enters and heard in a radio that after him ukr sent another 6 soldiers. They surrounded basement and began calling him - he remained silent. Then they threw few nades one after another through both entrances while he ran rounds trying to avoid shrapnel. First ukr soldier who was ordered to check on him was off on spot. More nades followed. After that smoke. Tuta soaked his cap in water and covered face. Another volunteer who decided to check on him was shot, but thanks to low visibility survived and was dragged out crying "I am 300!" After that they tried to set basement on fire, but water in 5L bottles were stored inside and he somehow managed. Nobody tried to storm him after that. 5 a.m. Tuta left basement thankfully not guarded and hid nearby. At morning ukr came back to drop into basement another batch of nades and shoot RPG into each entrance. After that they left. Tuta contacted his commander and recieved new task - recon and sabotage. Hiding at day he scouted area at night and found house where ammo and weapons were stored, house with other goods - clothes, drones etc, and yard with fuel. No guards at all. He took plast-d from storage and cooked fuel storage - he was afraid that will reveal him but ukr reported to command that storage was hit by 122mm. That emboldened him and he set material storage on fire - that is when on radio enemy agreed that Yakut survived and somewhere there. At least 10 people and APC was sent for clean up. Tuta hid in a munition storage - prepared RPG - he found RPO-A Shmel but was not trained to use it so decided not to, also tried to prepare MG but his old wound from May 9th 2024 reduced ability of his right hand so instead he prepared few AKs. When group passed by, he shot APC near engine knocking it out with RPG and opened chaotic fire with AK followed by nades. Enemy fled and reported via radio that Yakut somehow recieved reinforcement. On Nov 18 russian forces tried to storm village with armored column but were stopped by drones and bombarded by 120mm mortar. As hesitant as he was, Tuta could not bear hearing in radio screams of his comrades so he left hiding and found mortar position - crew of 3 did not notice him so he finished leader and gunner, ammunition bearer tried to raise hands, but anyway... At night he tried to fall back, but was spotted by thermals and hit multiple times by drones. He was forced to hide back in a village. Once again he left building before morning and hid nearby. Group of ten arrived, hesitant to go in - all of them in civilian clothing, hiding weapons and vests. Probably to avoid russian drones. Two women amongst them - one said "We hit him hard with drones, he bled out for sure" - young guy literally sniffed the door and said "Yeah, I think he is done". They left. Tuta decided to leave by daytime (he had a dream of his wife and kid and time on his phone was 14:28, while irl his phone was damaged long ago) - easier to avoid drones. People passed 10m nearby while he was hiding in grass and mud. He crawled about 500m until taking refuge in a burned MTLB. Inside he found dead russian soldier a bottle of water and a "Snickers". He decided to wait a day or two until rain stops. There he had another dream - all his 5 kids shivering from cold, and eldest son told him "We cant stay, we need to move". So he left his cover next day and continued to crawl through the fields, avoiding treelines as they are point of interest for drones. At some time russians made another attempt to storm village and all focus was on armored column (damaged MTLB where he was hiding was also hit by arty). Tuta used it for a run. Some shots were fired his way from column also. His friend offered to pick him up on a bike, but that would mean focus of FPVs so Tuta refused, but asked to make double shot every half an hour so he could keep direction crawling in tall grass. It was about 500m to hangars (as I understand near Ugledar) when he noticed drone above him. He picked radio "Hey, pal, is that you above me?" - "No! That is not ours, run!" As he dashed to the nearby hangar, drop exploded behind him and another later in front of him. That was last on that drone, so Tuta showed few international gestures and reached safety. Aside from wounds he got in close combat, he also got 14 shrapnel pieces from drone strikes. Also few additions: Whole operation took him 6 days and he barely had something to eat as his supplies were in a backpack of his comrade shot first. They were second pair to enter village - first fell to drones. And his first dream was about his dead comrades walking area and showing him "Look, here is danger zone where they got us" - when he woke up he remembered that they were hit in a complitely different area. But when he tried to leave village he was wounded around place they showed him in a dream. So in his interview he concluded: "Spirits of our ancestors do not leave us in a time of need and try to warn us through our dreams". That is why he followed two other dreams I mentioned above. While he was running fields and drones were flying above him to armored convoy he tried to shoot them and took down one Baba Yaga. But from the direction of convoy started shooting at him (or at drones) and he decided not to try join them or positions in a treeline as he was covered in mud - to avoid friendly fire. When he reached buildings on outskirts he heard voices inside and could not grasp what language it was, as it was windy outside, but for sure not russian, so he quietly passed by - uncertain if that may be ukrainean foreign mercs. Turns out that was his friends speaking yakutian - those who made warning shots for him. He was not aware of bodycam video until his brother sent it to him. He could not watch it in full as it was too difficult to relive that fight again, also was surprised of how long it was - he remembered barely a minute of that fight. Also could not remember what exact words they exchanged with ukr soldier but reviewing record concluded: "He also a human, a warrior fighting for his motherland, just as I am. Somehow, anyway... we have to keep some humanity [in us]".

So much to unpack here. So basically he got stranded near Ukrainian base and somehow was fortunate enough to survive by simply holding some small place that Ukrainians didn't dare to actually go in even tho they totally knew he was there. Weird. But sounds real, I wouldn't wanna go in there too because he might kill me (even tho he would likely die to others coming after me).

Russia demands elections because without elections all the agreements signed by Zelenskyy could be canceled as illegitimate and invalid. Russia has lost trust in intermediaries as seen in the recent agreements in Istanbul and Minsk. Thus, Russia will only accept agreements with a government and congress elected by the people in Ukraine, which makes perfect sense and can be easily resolved.

The laws giving primacy to Ukraine as the "official language" a common practice around the world was the result of a naked political grab by Yanukovych in 2014. Understandable given the invasion of Ukraine proper by the Russians, repeating their successful occupations of Moldovan and Georgian territory ensuring they could never get into NATO nor the EU. Thanks for the summary the interview. A lot of people do not fully understand the context of the "300 billion" dollars of frozen Russian assets. Firstly, that is not actually held by the USA. The US share of russian reserves is only around 62 billion. The rest is held by European and other Ramstein group nations, with 6 billion being held by Australia, for example. So, seizing it all would require a lot of negotiation. Secondly, it is not only Russian government money. Much of it is the private property of Russian citizens. Thirdly, Russian holds around 280 billion of assets from these nations, and it has stated that it will simply seize this money as reciprocation for any seizure of Russian assets. Therefore, "taking 300 billion from Russia" actually means, in fact, taking it from both western governments and western private investors. The transfer of wealth would therefore be from western nations and private individuals to Ukraine. Russia would just about break even. In fact, the Russian state would likely not compensate their oligarchs who lost overseas assets (money hidden in tax shelters for the most part), so the Russian war machine would likely profit from the move, to the tune of tens of billions of dollars. The other major downside to the exchange is that western assets inside Russia are mostly highly profitable shares in oil wells and mines, whereas the Russian assets in the west are overpriced real estate, expensive cars and currency. Hence the lack of willingness to do this. Zelensky appears to be speaking to his domestic audience in this podcast, which makes sense. He is not going to throw in the towel early, not until he is told he must.
@musehtaicho
@musehtaicho Күн бұрын
Also that summ is not in cash - it is property, shares, bonds etc. Lets say you seize russian-owned shares in Intel for example. Then what? Gift it to Ukraine? Sell it to send money to Ukraine? What if it is shares of some Romanian factory - are they willing to change shareholder under some vague justification? West arent even sure what these "frozen assets" consist of - they just say "we think it is around 300 billion" - souns cool in headlines.

With oligarch property seized in the West situation is utterly hilarious because West helping Putin big with moves against Russian oligarchs 1.West seize oligarch property. Expects oligarchs to begin hate Putin and led masses to overthrow him like Ukrainian oligarchs overthrown Yanukovich 2.Oligarchs who held property in the West, usually already anti-Putin, scream in agony, Putin giggle and blame them for not investing in their own country instead of West, common people applaud and view Putin as defender of country against oligarchs 3.Pro-Putin oligarchs take influence from oligarchs that was robbed by West, invest in Russia, enjoy favors from government and diverted attention of public that hate and clown on pro-Western oligarchs (robbed by the West) only, instead of all of them, including pro-Putin ones 4.West seized property of Russian oligarchs, but don't understand how is Putin not overthrown yet, Putin enjoy increased control over oligarch class, increased popularity among common people. Common Russian people enjoy seeing oligarchs suffering. Pro-Western Russian oligarchs broke and whine in Twitter about not having money to hire someone to do their laundry, Russian bloggers overview this tweets and clown on them together with their Russian audience. Everyone is happy besides pro-Western oligarchs, and Western analysts again played themselves.

The movie is funny but nothing about that midget comedian is funny he knows once the war finishes that’s it for him he will either have to escape the country or be hung by his own people that are clearly starting to hate his guts almost as much as they do Putin and I don’t blame them this conflict could of be avoided the both sides had an agreement on the table that both sides agreed on Putin even pulled his man from Kiev but then the western puppet met with his puppet masters and sold out to them this has been confirmed by pretty much everybody.

The 1st question about those "300 Bln" you should ask: "How much of this money will disappear in Zelenskiy pockets?")) About restrictions of russian language in Ukraine, you should look in recent changes in schools. One of the infamous is penalties for pupils, who are speak russian on their free time on school. Speak russian to your friends, during lunch? Parents will pay fine up to 40$. Didn't work and you spoke russian again? Then you are object for expulsion. It's maybe not an official law right now, but very common practice in different schools.

I don't know how anyone could think Lex is a Russian shill. He platforms Zelensky, doesn't challenge any of the plethora of lies that he blatantly told, agrees to let him speak broken Ukrainian for symbolism, lets him have advisors in the room and goes to him for the interview. The platforming with no pushback alone should be solid proof, there's no way Russia would want to give Zelensky a chance to play up for sympathy to his biggest funders, the worst thing that could happen for Russia is for Zelensky to con the American people to support him again having lost it thoroughly. He went out of his way to let Zelensky do whatever he wanted without challenge. To be clear, I'm not saying Lex was part of the Ukrainian/NATO propaganda machine but if he was on one or the other it's so obviously that side and not the Russian one. He interviewed him like a man who knew what happened to Gonzalo Lira for questioning the Ukrainian narrative and to me a genuine fear for his life seemed to be the priority motive to how he conducted the interview and I don't blame him, Zelensky has proven that no life is sacred if it is between him and a dollar.

I did, however, think that Zelinsky's terms for resolving the conflict were basically delusional. Russia would burn the world before accepting such defeat.

Regarding the waste of time from Lexi "Love and BBQ in Texas" interview full of bs and easy easy questions, this was one "of many" that I noticed: Elensky said that he called Putin many times back in 2019, hundreds of times, and he tried to negotiate between Ukraine and Russia, he tried to negotiate Minsk Agreements and tried to negotiate a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. This is the misleading key that leaves ignorants and uneducated people believing that is true. The key here, is that the Minsk Agreements was not an agreement between Russia and Ukraine it was between Ukraine and the Donbass, it was an internal conflict, that's how the agreements was framed. Russia in relation to the Minsk Agreement was no different than what France and Germany was, they were guarantorous of the agreement.

Also, when asked about corruption, Zelenski says he deals with corruption in a very strick manner, everyone caught in the act of corruption gets a slap on the wrist😂....well no wonder corruption is flourishing, no one geta jail time, only a slap on the wrist.😂 And finaly, everyone can see his racist attitude towards Russian people. He litteraly says all Russians are bad for not starting a revolution or a civil war to stop Putin and the Russian government. Zelenski totally ignores the fact that there are very many Russians who are against this war and they have protested in the streets and many are in jail because of that, but Zeli doesnt care. For him its not enough.This man is an insane psychopath

You’re not missing much if you haven’t seen the interview. Fridman mostly served up softballs, and let Zelensky rant on and on. Zelensky is as bitter toward his Western masters as he is towards Putin. He is also as delusional as the Austrian artist in the bunker.

This is what Ukraine could have been - the Switzerland of Eastern Europe. But this required integrity and enlightenment. Instead, they went for grift and early 20c nationalism.
