According to Bruce Pritchard, Triple H was not cool with doing this angle and said in a writers meeting that nobody would believe a dweeb like Angle would beat HHH and get his girl. It was Pat Patterson who defended Kurt saying that Triple H should try and really fight with Kurt and see if he was a dweeb, then HHH backed down.

Year's later karma hit Kurt Angle. Not only lost his wife Karen to his new boss Jeff Jarrett in TNA but also had to work for his bosses new Wife/ Ex wife 😂😂 For year's.. weird triangle that was in reality and for business. TNA was good until 2010.. Eric Bicshoff, Hogan ruined the show along with Dixie Carter destroyed it.

He’s a legit clean and sober guy now, loves his new wife, has a bunch of kids, business owner and a lot smaller physically than he used to be. I know he just got his knees done which probably means he’ll never come back to wrestle but he retired at Wrestlemania a few years back

I think Kurt is heavily lying here. I clearly remember he went on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show in 2006 after he left in WWE and he went OFF on HHH about his politics and his problems with him.
