Two-time MVP Quarterback, Kurt Warner, and his wife Brenda share about expectations and adjustments in a blended family.
Marriage: Built to Last isn't your typical marriage study. Throughout the series, you'll watch 24 real life couples from across the country share candidly about their struggles in communication, finances, sexual intimacy, expectations, and more.
In the study, you will hear the story of Dave Ramsey and his wife Sharon as they recovered from financial stress and hardship. You will hear the story of Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda share candidly about expectations, trust issues, and adjusting to a blended family.
Marriage: Built to Last includes Biblical and practical teaching from Chip Ingram on these six critical topics:
Adjusting to Expectations
Learning to Communicate Clearly
Breaking Down Walls
Resolving Conflict
Restoring Sex and Intimacy
Striving for a Christ-Centered Marriage
Whether you're newly married, remarried, or wanting to improve your relationship, Chip Ingram provides Biblical and practical teaching to give you tools to live intentionally and love Biblically.
Many couples want to attend marriage conferences but those can be expensive and not everyone has the time or money to attend. So instead of spending thousands of dollars on conference fees, hotels, and babysitters to attend a seminar, Marriage: Built to Last is the complete "event in a box" that your entire church can experience at a fraction of the cost it might require for one couple to a marriage seminar.

I watched the movie today, it made me cry, and now looking at their testimonies I'm crying again, I'm going thru a 2nd divorce and looking that there are people that still hold on together on good and bad I feel my heart breaking into pieces, MayGod almighty bless all the couples that hold on to their marriage no matter what.

I still don't know how she put up with a guy working at a grocery store and then playing in arena league football saying, "I'm gonna be an NFL QB." I'm sure there were a lot of bitter moments between them. But Warner is a great guy and I'm sure she supported him 100% because he supported his own dream 100%. She saw him taking it serous, so I'm sure that helped some of the hard times.

I can guarantee you what Brenda thought were little arguments about "when are you going to get a real job" were absolutely devastating to Kurt. But somehow he held on and pulled it off. I'm sure it was frustrating for her, but I also think she saw he was putting in the work. I'm glad he didn't fold on his dream. They're all better off than they ever thought they'd be.

Those are facts brotha'. I was told that years ago and although I understood why it was said it sounded like a spit on my face, like I'm worthless. It jars your core. Until now I still believe it was said in that manner. Inspite all of that though I stuck with it and now have a career that betters me and my family.

@@flexman70 Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Women will say some crazy things that would never come out of your mouth about her. Really damaging and intentionally hurtful things. Then act like everything is fine a week later. Just weird. I opened a business last year that builds residual income year after year. FIrst year was slower than I wanted so I just decided to take a part-time weekend job at Amazon for $17 an hour, two 10-hour shifts on Sat and Sun. It will suck but the extra $1100 a month after taxes will ease my stress about money. My business is everything. It's my income, my future retirement, I could pass it on to my kids if I want to, it's basically my life. Giving up on it would be the biggest regret of my life. So I'm just biting the bullet for awhile so I can help my family. Good news is that half the months out of the year, my business did great last year, so come this year I'll have so much extra $$ with this job that I can pump even more money into it. Get to where I want to be much faster. When I thought about doing it, I really thought, "If Kurt Warner can stock shelves on a graveyard shift while trying to make it to the NFL, I can do this on the weekends for a while."

What an incredible story they have! So inspirational and beautiful. They worked hard at their relationship and stuck by each other through the hardest of times. Brenda knew Kurt was putting in the work and that hard work would eventually pay off. Unconditional and support is what makes such a strong marriage.

I permanently divorced out of verbal and psychological trauma abuse 10 years ago but not before being hypnotized back once for more. I continue to be threatened by men for this to happen again. My children’s father didn’t protect them when they were young and at home and withheld information from me that hurts me still today. Some man really trying to hurt me put this in front of me.
