Yes Blaine is someone that needs attention, but not because he act like a child or whaterver but because he is someone that gives a lot of attention. For example: when he moved in with Kurt he prepared his breakfast every morning and wanted to spend so much time with the love of his life so he wanted to do whatever Kurt wanted to do - he had no limits. In conclusion he expected to receive as much as attention he was giving to Kurt and it was his first love reletionship. In the relationship he is more vulnerable while independently he looks more like confident.

Yet believe what you want, I perfectly know that most of the Kurt’s stans are totally blind, and always bash on Blaine (or on whoever) not to see Kurt’s faults. Oh, and Blaine had all the right to date whoever he wanted, and if you don’t understand why he dated Dave - well - you’re just like your favourite: so self centered he never even noticed his boyfriend’s struggle with mental health. Blaine was recovering from clinical depression and Dave had the same problem in the past, and probably he has been the first who recognized Blaine’s problem and backed him and made him feel understood (for sure Kurt never ever did).
