Hey Derek! So I'm here on your Videos watching a few videos per day. I'm prescribed Methadone. I'm on 110 mg per day. I get 27 days worth ( 27 takehomes as we call it ) at a time. I've been on it for almost 4 years. This coming up January will be 4 years. I've been clean the entire time I've been at the clinic. I do at some point want to get all the way off. I'm at 110 mg a day and I'm terrified of withdrawal . So I just want to watch your videos and get hope and inspiration. Thank you!! 🙏 I think when I go to taper, I'm gonna go down 1 mg a month. Super slow bc I'm so afraid of withdrawal. My other problem is I have chronic pain. I have an incurable disease that my Dr said quality of life is equivalent to end stage cancer and / or kidney dialysis and the pain is 3 X more painful than cancer. So I'm not sure how I'll manage my pain but I just know that I'm tired of being drugged up and I want to be clear headed. Methadone doesn't make me high but I definitely feel medicated. It's hard to explain but those who are on it, understand what I mean by that

i'm starting my detox now i'm on day 4 but needed to take a weeks vacation off my job.4 years on methadone is a long time if you cut down on it where you're just taking sips a day the withdrawals are not that bad. you'll lose some sleep but if you're serious about quitting just do it. i only had one night where it was kinda bad and i mean like no energy. nothing to serious
