This is how Kurt beat Kelly Clarkson and Will Young in World Idol. The effortlessness of Kurt hitting all of Tal Bachman’s “trap” notes (she’s so HIIIIIIIIGH-AYE-Aye-aye, High above me) in the chorus - that’s talent. A dash of anti-Americanism helped too (self inflicted tbh), but Kelly lost to a much better vocalist. End of story. Kurt Nilson is the true World Idol, Americans should look outside of their country once in a while…
