I love that armbar variation! Its simple yet effective... That makes it brilliant in my book!

Great vid as always. Awesome technique. on a side note: If you want a quick laugh, watch it with the automatic closed caption option. Very entertaining.

Is he emphasizing "Gracie Jiu Jitsu Basic" because Eddie Bravo calls it the swim move?
@waldomarek10 жыл бұрын
no idea, but pretty sure this was used in judo as well and most likely in japanese/traditional jujutsu as well o_O

I had a feeling he was referring to Eddie. Eddie is a friend of mine and I hv seen him emphasize this move. Very funny vid and a good explanation of this move.

I think it is because of Ronda Rousey. She uses this armbar a lot , it´s her signature move( If not mistaken, she won 7 fights straight with an armbar) , and there has been a lot of hype around this move, with a lot of videos popping around teaching this as a Judo move.

darta69 Just about everything from "Gracie Jiu-Jitsu" came from Judo.

+darta69 I doubt it had to do with Ronda as this video was uploaded at the beginning of 2014.
