Mid 40s here, major shoulder rebuild surgery, major wrist surgery, hernia surgery in past started training 2 years ago and wish i would have started along time ago. Do it !

Nope. I'm 51, I started at 47. Sitting at purple, frustrating the young bucks. Use age to your advantage. Play smart, use old man strength, look up over 40 tips - they are usually just smarter, non-spectacular looking moves. Tap early, attempt to learn - not win, build a defensive philosophy (I lean heavy on half-guard). You'll lose, and lose often. Just keep returning for the workout. Get mental reps by learning fundamentals. To me, there was an "aha!" moment, at about 3 years. Go for it!
