Man, you'd definitely want to be wearing a box to do that armbar. Hope you all had a merry Xmas and enjoy the NY. Always enjoy your move of the week. Adious

@smazboudi He's really cool actually. Teaches all the kettlebell classes, super helpful w/the new white belts, & he had just received his purple belt. The real question is why aren't you paying attention to what Kurt's trying to teach you?

Dustin Adams What?! No it's not. That's what stripes are for. It's most likely a really faded blue belt because grey is for kids (under 16).

Crossface him with your left arm and underhook with your right. Gable grip your hands. Your feet on his hips.

Im new to sport bjj is it legal for the person that is mounted to put both hands into the other sleeve and grip? Seems like a pretty legit way of stopping an armlock
@blairwannamaker525211 жыл бұрын
no its just illegal to put your grip INSIDE the sleeve, have to grip outside only
@raymondvetting593010 жыл бұрын
You can defend by putting your OWN hands into your own gi, but its not really a good way of defending. You are in a sense trapping your own hands, and have very few (if any) to counter attack until you get your hands out again.

how do i keep my mount control tight and heavy ??? im a small guy only weigh 135lbs.. they always escape my mount
@WoodApe1007 жыл бұрын
Carlos Diaz Physics is going to tell you you are limited in how much pressure you are going to be able to put on a much larger person from mount position. However, tight connection and drive your hips in using your hooks to grapevine will increase the pressure on their abdomen. But I think a better strategy for you would be to be quick in getting to the top of their body in a high mount and try to snatch an arm on the top side for a fast arm bar. I'm bigger and yet much smaller guys have had success in armbarring me. I try not to stay flat in my back and so when I go towards one side, a quick light guy will get up high and try to take the arm on top.
@im44855 жыл бұрын
Light guys shouldn't really stay in mount for too long. Just my opinion. I am 230 6ft and light guys can never stay in mount with me. It is just too easy to flip them.
