:- In rural area because of religious sentimants some people goes for open defication because they think that if they use toilets at home it will profane their home. :- In some villages government has made so many combine toilets for villagers for usage but they only provide toilets and does not make any arrangements for its maintenanace so because of it toilets' condition gets worse for usage and people gets forced to open deficate.

Treated water supply can't be the measure for the safe drinking water. In eastern states like UP Bihar and Bengal the Ground water quality is comparatively much safe and good quality if compared to that of Punjab or the other South Indian or coastal plains where the water quality have deteriorated or its saline having arsenic or salt content in water. The water quality is good so their is no such need of treating water and supplying.
