Characters that do different things (and references if any): Marisa: Winks when doing the "ha ha ha!" Rumia: Her arms are spread when everyone else has their's in default position and during the "ha ha ha!". During the latter she also says "sonano ka?" (is that so?). When she smiles, the hiragana reads Wahaa-! (Thanks Kazeme Ame for helping with the reading!) Patchouli: Lags behind everyone due to her asthma. At the end she's only doing a single motion instead of the entire dance. Cirno: Her moves are mirrored from everyone else's. Meiling: Does the "JAOOOOOO" thing during the "ha ha ha!" as she did in the Touhou M-1 Grand Prix PatchuMeirin Remilia: Does her pose from EoSD and says "uー☆" during the "ha ha ha!" Koakuma: Does the dance she did in the video "Koakuma Haz Your Soul Now" (i think? that's the earliest instance of that dance i can find) Flandre: On her last motion at the "ha ha ha!", her top half of her face is pitch black, with red glowing eyes. Referencing the popular (yet inaccurate) vision of Flandre as a psycopath. Sakuya: Pops out and back in in the transition from EoSD to PCB, a reference to her time manipulation abilty. Alice: Slowly walks towards Marisa, referencing the popular Malice shipping, she also looks at her every once in a while. One of her dolls can also be seen behind her a few times (can't quite read what it's saying though) Letty: When it transitions into spring, she fades away, referencing how she's only seen in winter and practically doesn't exist outside of winter. Lily White: Appears when spring comes on, referencing how she announces when spring is coming. When flying towards the screen and does the "ha ha ha!", she spreads her arms open (at a higher angle than Rumia), referencing her sprites in the games where she's also holding them like that. Merlin: During the last motion of the "ha ha ha!", her face becomes ・∀・, referencing Merupo, an alter ego of Merlin created at 2ch. Yuyuko: Before jumping off-screen, a curved rectangle with a flowery pattern appears behind her, referencing her fight in PCB, where the same rectangle appears. Kaguya: She's the only character who doesn't do the initial motion of the dance, probably referencing her laziness as portrayed in some fanworks. Her second dance is replaced by her doing arm motion forwards and back, referencing the meme "Help Me Eirin!", which is portrayed with characters (usually Kaguya) doing that same motion. Keine: Becomes EX Keine when jumping off-screen and back in with Mokou, referencing the Extra stage in IN. Eirin: During the "Ha ha ha!" and jumping off for the transition, she's seen doing a dance from the video Lunatic Fable (Thanks Worldwatcher for finding the source!) Mystia: Says "Chin♪" during the "ha ha ha!", which is the japanese onomatopeya for birds chirping. Mokou: Before jumping off-screen, red wings appear behind Mokou, referencing how she appears in her fight in IN. Nitori: Fades in when entering the scene, referencing how in MoF, the heroines encounter her because her cloaking device failed. Suwako: She starts inside her hat and then jumps out, referencing some of her animations in Hisoutensoku (mainly her run). Hina: Portion of her second dance is replaced by her spinning, referencing her animations in the original game. Aya: Before jumping off screen, she takes out her camera and takes a picture, referencing her job as the Bunbunmaru Newspaper reporter. Kanako: Before jumping off screen, she takes out onbashira from her back, referencing how she fights in the original game. Sanae: Before jumping off-screen and on the other times she appears in the video she holds her gohei high. Not sure if it references anything specific. Her frog hair pin is modified to look like Keroro, the main character of Keroro Gunsou, the anime where this song is from. Parsee: Before jumping off-screen, the top half of her face is darkened and green squigles appear next to her, referencing her bitterness and how it's usually portrayed in fanworks. Yuugi: Before jumping off-screen, she takes out a sake dish with one hand and raises the other, similarly to her pose from SA Koishi: Before jumping off-screen, she raises both arms and raises a leg forward, referencing a pose she makes in-game in SA Okuu: Before jumping off-screen, she raises her hand and points upwards, where an object that looks like a smaller sun is, similar to her pose in SA (which has become characteristic of her). Nue: Unlike other characters, her name and title does not appear when she appears, referencing her ability to become unidentifiable. Kogasa: During the last motion of her "ha ha ha!", she winks and sticks out her tongue, referencing one of her faces in the original game. Byakuren: Before the transition, she takes out her scroll and opens it, referencing her pose from the original game. The text above her head reads "Namusan!", which she uses in her dialogues. Ichirin and Unzan: Before the transition, Ichirin takes out a single ring while Unzan's eyes glow. Ichirin's pose is fairly similar to the pose she does in the game. Wew, that was long. I'm happy i can get to see this video again after being country locked for a year.
