Thanks, Dave. It's nice to get a visual on how those saddlebags actually work.

I found the Kuryakyn momentum outrider set locally on Facebook Marketplace. Check there along with any of the other for sale online sources like Craigslist. Fortunately I found this set for only $100 in new condition. Check out some of my other videos. I try to keep adding new videos.

Thanks for the videos. I bought my Versys this year (2022). I just took it out yesterday 12/29 in Nebraska of all places. It's a gray all around Motorcycle, I would recommend it to anyone.

You're welcome. Winter has stopped all projects on the X300. More next year.

Well done Dave. I like the way you think Re visibility. I see so many bikes on the road in dimly-lit or dark conditions that are hard to see/identify as motorcycles or be seen at all! LED lights, reflectors, all that stuff might keep you alive a little longer. Oh, and the bags & top case look great.

Visibility is very important. I have my X300 changed over to all much brighter LED bulbs (Video on that) and a Delani Soundbomb Split Air Horn (Video on that as well) to be heard. People notice the Aux lights also and yield to me. I can tell they have an effect on other drivers.

Thanks. I have another video coming for a complete breakdown of the Kawasaki Aux light bike wiring and the genuine Kawasaki aux lights harness so anyone can use the bikes wiring and genuine Kawasaki's aux light harness to interface with any 3rd party lights. A lot of X300 owners don't want the genuine Kawasaki Aux lights so this will be valuable for the majority of the X300 owners.

@@trekOCLVone I'll be watching for it, might apply to the 650V, I may add some small lights for visual effect

@@lastinline000 My genuine OEM Kawasaki Aux lights and harness detail video is now up. It covers the purchase of the connectors to allow 3rd party lights/switch/etc to be wired up with minimal work and trouble. link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moPdfYdqmJmqraM&ab_channel=trekOCLVone

Good info on the saddle bags. I noticed your seat looks different from OEM . Is that a new seat, or just a pad? Thanks, Jim.
@trekOCLVone2 жыл бұрын
The seat has a Coleman Mad Dog seat pad on it. I'm trying to stay more comfortable on the X300 on longer trips. The Coleman Mad Dog pad by itself doesn't help all that much and I'm now adding about an inch of semi rigid foam between the Mad Dog and the OEM seat. That helps more. Today I road 140 miles and didn't have a lot of issues. So, I'm getting some relief. I may just bite the bullet and purchase an aftermarket seat but, it is just the price of those that is holding me back.

@@trekOCLVone I modified my seat with 2"rebonded foam. It worked great for a year, then the foam went soft and I had to do it again. The first time I removed the original foam and added foam to seat frame. That made it a saddle so I did not slide forward or backwards on acceleration or deceleration. This time I put the foam over the original foam, but I needed to add a pad after about 6 months as the foam got softer. I use an Air Seat Inovations pad, works great!!!

They are definitely better than the terrible Kawasaki panniers that are small and poorly designed and way over-priced. I bought the Kawi ones, but regret doing that. By the way- black pool noodle would look better - just saying. Great choice.

The Kuryakyn bags seem to be at the sweet spot = price vs value. I'm happy with them. I'll work in the pool noodles. Blue does clash with the bike's color scheme. Thank you for your comment.
