I am a civil engineer. Government Civil Engineer. And the sexism oh my God. Site pe they would rather listen to a supervisor than listen to what me a senior government official with a degree in engineering,having cleared a competition exam for getting the job. First day I went on site( that had around 50+ men) and just a single woman they didn't know how to react. Like how is this 25 year old woman standing here on site. It has taken me 7 years to prove myself. Contrary to that my male counterparts have respect first day on site.
@chetanshukla768
@chetanshukla768 29 күн бұрын
Get a life and a reality check. The world has a lot more important things to do than only planning to make you uncomfortable. Did anyone force you to take up the job that you are into currently? Or didn't you research properly about where you were planning to head in your career? A modern day woman is independent until she commits a mistake and finds a way to blame it on men. Basically those 50 men had nothing to do in their lives before you joined the organization and shifted all their life goals and priorities towards conspiring against you since the day you started your job. Quite believable. Stop giving yourself this much importance and playing a victim card after a decision you took for yourself. Narcissism should also have limits. Honestly, nobody cares whether you exist or not, let aside what you do. Focus on your work and stop blaming men for everything. Just try to ask men working in the private sector about what 'sexism' and partiality based on the same at the workplace means. Working women in the private sector unabashedly misuse policies in their favour and have no morals and character when it comes to framing men. This is surely a lot more lethal than some men just ignoring you at your workplace because of some reason that you may never be able to figure out.

This interview is the best interview. She hit the nail on head about all the guests that weren't right for the show. You need the underprivileged women and girls to tell their story. We just like to hear stories from the famous. That's just a fact. Kusha is something else. So knowledge, interesting and funny. Pockets is my thing. Why doesn't indian clothes have pockets. Be it a man or woman, whomever, I repeat "whomever" is making the payment OR is the authority, they listen to them. Walk it off, stop playing the victim every damn time.

I have had so many incidents in Delhi that I don't even know where to begin with. One incident which was least expected. At 2 pm in daylight i was walking from a local market to my PG in GK1 with a friend. A guy (previleged looking) driving a Swift (very recognisable car ofc), stops, rolls down window, and asks directions to Lajpat Nagar 1. I show him directions with my hands and he fondles my breast, rolls up the window and leaves. My friend and I freeze. After this incident, I am scared in day light also. Now I live in blr but the trauma never leaves me.

this is everywhere , I have faced this in IT industry. Male employees who are in their 40s or plus dont like it when they have to answer a woman. They take it as if I got where I am just like that

This is so much categorization. I have lived in new york for 27yrs never herd of a story of women feeling unsafe at 2 or 3am any time of the week.

Agreed. It differs from region to region. There are some cities which are completely safe, some completely unsafe, while some cities have specific areas which are unsafe. This is exactly what our show 2AM stories is about. It's a social experiment where we step out at 2AM in different cities and try to gauge how safe these cities are at night. Wrong is wrong its irrespective of gender. I still remember i was a chubby kid when i was kid i guess 2-3 standard my batchmates and seniors they used to grab my chest. Its fun for them its trust me its not fun. Bcoz i was kid i didnt even understand what was happening to me n i wouldn't even share with my parents bcoz i always thought its something wrong wd me bcoz its only happening to me. It broke my confidence to a level that i started hiding my self i dont meet my friends not even relatives.my studies got hammered. I am 30 now but its still fresh in my mind i still couldn't share with my parents. I still dont want to go out. Bullaying harrassing its not fun. That tender age i do not understand the meaning of bullying harrassing abusing molestation or r*pe but now i do understand the meaning of it now i can say culprit can't be made in single day but the incidences that had happened to me in my childhood now i know where these culprits comes from. To my abusers u r potential rapi*t or u r now. N their family sorry but u didnt raised ur son well u r failed as a parents. Just bcoz u know how to make babies doesnt make u parents, parenting is a huge responsibility. Everbybody can be mom n dad but not every mom n dad is a parents .they might forgot what they have done to me but m 30 still cant get close to anyone.

We are sorry you were bullied as a kid. We cannot even imagine what you had to go through and the pain and fear you've felt. You are absolutely correct - what's wrong is wrong, irrespective of their gender.

Women's safety has always been a huge concern. It feels like years have passed but nothing has changed. Women felt fear even back in the day and still do. It's sad how a woman has to constantly look over her shoulder no matter where she is. With this thought in mind, we also created a series called 2AM Stories. It's a social experiment where we step out at 2AM in different cities across India and try to gauge how safe is it for women. You can check it out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDTmX6qrZZ_lZY

Contractors chhodo yahan normal log bhi serious nhi lete in small towns and cities.They don't even entertain you ,directly ask to call some male, father or brother to talk. It feels that you have no existence and if you question it ppl are like you're being unreasonable. A few days back my father asked me to sell something and when the buyer came who happened to be my age asked me to send my father so in turn I asked him also to call his father and didn't sell it till he actually called his father. I ain't gonna entertain it, unreasonable or what.

This is so true I was getting interior designing for my house. And they were responding only to my dad and if I call them they used to ignore or answer rudely. He used to pause work and my dad had to push him to get it done. I was paying money I had to involve my dad due to his behaviour

This is 100% true. My dad has a building matrials shop (construction business) and when i was small in school i mean , sometimes i used to sit in Galla (if you know what it is ) . And most men were reluctant to talk to me. And they used to find weird that how come she is seating at her dad's seat. And all Drivers & staff used to talk to me with full respect. But the customers ,oh boy! They used to bypass me & start talking to the staff.

I am an Architect and work with contractors all the time. It’s not that the construction business guys look up to men they just look up to authority. I don’t generally raise my volume, it’s just that my presence and talking less to them makes them shit in their pants. Plus I pay the bills and can take their jobs away. Girls need to understand the concept of authority and seriousness if you want power and respect. Stop talking too much .

I can relate to Kusha Kapila about the safety in New York. I did travel to NY twice in June, July 2024 and that too through metro and subway. I must say it was not as safe as it supposed to be, specifically when we think about a big city like NY we definitely expect it will be the safest. Anyways, I didn’t feel safe at NY alone. .....

Puberty hit me when I was 8years old.... didn't know anything about it.....mistook it to be blood cancer....so there's nothing like too soon or early....girls need to be educated since 3-4 yrs of age.....and atleast in today's era.... it's very very necessary.....my mum would always ask me to refrain from sitting on the laps of relatives too.... familiar faces....at the tender age of 7....back then couldn't understand why, but gradually it was clear....

11:18 - This is so true. When I was about 5-6 years old, I was traveling by bus and took an aisle seat. It was really dark, and we were all sleeping. I woke up to find someone sitting beside me on his suitcase, with his arms folded. His left hand was reaching towards my chest, trying to rub my breasts. I felt uncomfortable but didn’t say anything, thinking it was an accident. My parents were sitting behind me, and my grandmother was by the window. It took me 15-16 years to realize it was a bad touch
