I got a question, for number 3. Since we're solving for x, then that means we're suppose to iscolate it. So, why didnt you subtract m from both sides instead?

We could also start by subtracting m from both sides. That would leave us with z - m = - x and then we would need to divide (or multiply) both sides by negative 1 in order to get a positive x. We would get the same answer either way, I just decided to make x positive at the start of my problem.

You wouldn't "have" to, but you should recognize that you can pull out a negative from the numerator, and a negative divided by a negative is a positive.

For number 7, we are trying to solve for "a". I multiplied both sides by "a" in order to get it out of the denominator. If I didn't get it out of the denominator, then i would have the problem in terms of 1/a

If x was divided by m, then you would multiply. But it is not. Since we are solving for x, you can do it like I did in the video, or you can subtract m and then divide or multiply by a -1
