I'm really looking for something to compliment here but I cant find anything, because this not the real İstanbul. I know it because I am a part of this place. Either this video's been prepared by no care or there's some serious smear campaign going on here. Istanbul has much more places worth sharing. After watching other mixes I can only say that this is a BIG disappointment, especially seeing British Council involved. NEVERTHELESS I RESPECT YOUR WORK

Totally agreed, there are some fundamental instruments missing also, the ones who prepared this obviously didn't know Istanbul or they were after something else, this looks very much poorly made. Considering that it will introduce Istanbul to a global audiance through youtube (and this will be the concrete first impression of İstanbul also) the quality and culture of the city is not MIXED. The culture is there but only introduced through poor districts of Istanbul, mainly. You guys have to be better than that...

You didn't hit it with this one, in my opinion. Neither is this türkü sanat müsiği, nor is it türk psychedelic rock à la Bariş Manço for example, nor is it the crossover hereof. The base material is good, but I think you should return to the mixing board and re-record a more refined version.
