In the late 80’s I taught myself to knit and in the 90’s I bought a knitting shop that was going to close. I was a terrible business person and to be honest I was over reaching with my knitting skills as well. However, I loved knitting and even tried writing my own patterns. For many reasons the knitting fell to the side. Recently I have been thinking about knitting again but now I live in Arizona and have little use for sweaters. I appreciated your share regarding your failures. I remember oh too well having this nagging feeling that something wasn’t working but ignoring that feeling and continuing way beyond the point I should have stopped. I love all your sweaters. I’m going to check out more of your videos.

My grandmother taught me the basics when I was little but I never really took to knitting, I was and still am more into crocheting (and haven't touched a knitting needle in decades) but I've been thinking about giving it another go as an adult. While you may have intended your book to appeal to beginners I believe it has great appeal to knitters that want to create something new yet classic. You certainly hit the mark on both counts. I really enjoy your videos and was very much looking forward to the release of your book. Thanks so much for going through all the patterns. I want to knit them ALL! That is rare because usually when a pattern designer publishes a book there are just one or two patterns that appeal and I think to myself "Do I really want the whole book?" But I do want the whole book and it looks so pretty. I love your colour palette too - although it is miles from mine, so I will have to stray a little from your colour suggestions. I've found my Knitting nirvana with Kutovakika. I love the floofy modern and simple patterns, as well as the colour palette. I'm binging your videos and lurking ravelry to decide what to knit first. Perhaps the Darling cardigan? I'm intrigued by your use of silk mohair... I've always been scared off of mohair due to the itch factor, but maybe I'm wrong? Oh hello. I just discovered you when I watched your wedding dress video. The sweaters are gorgeous. I think I've seen one, the pink one with bobbles I think before online or something. Im a crocheter who just got her first set of interchangeable knitting needles. I'm so excited. Been practicing some stitches and stuff. Doing pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. Knitting continental of course as I crochet. It seems very natural. I downloaded a bunch of books as well. I'm terrible with math tho, my weak point. I'm excited. I would love to get to the point where I can mimic the shape of a great fitting garment. Found some pattern design and fashion design books too. I don't even know how to read knit patterns, diagrams and charts. I assume I will prefer it as I love crochet diagrams over written instructions.
