Man, I couldn't click this "all in the family" battle fast enough when I saw those names! All my favs getting down with the get down. My wish came true to see Rochka in the mix, who burned that entire stage down all by himself, although Lau brought that heat. Got Rochka, Kuty, and Bouboo's next level ridiculous moves on repeat, for sure. But of course, those Noel guys stay elevating & innovating. Bouboo & his lights out moves are insane! Damn. I once gave Rubix a pass for losing to Paradox when they battled cuz I thought Rubix going first gave Paradox the advantage (despite Paradox's statement that it didn't matter). Now I agree totally with Paradox. After Rochka's round I was thinking "Ain't no way Rubix can surpass this!" and boy I was so right. I always had this impression that Rubix was better than most dancers because he had access to watching and learning closely and directly from elite dancers like his brother (Rochka), Laurent, and Larry (and a little sprinkle of Boubou) earlier in his career. A lot of his dance style can be seen as a confluence of these three dancers plus Rubix's youth and seemingly endless outbursts of creativity and surreal artistry. So seeing the three of them observe him dance during his round felt like a full circle moment of him making a presentation and being assessed by these three. I'm intensely looking at each of their reaction and I think they gave him a "B", meaning there's still work to be done. I have seen Rubix at 1.0, 2.0, and I think it's about time we got Rubix 3.0.

I agree but I'd definitely throw in Waydi. Rochka, Lau, Larry, and Waydi are the main 4 I'd say Rubix dances like with a sprinkle of Deyvron. Rubix definitely wasn't as good here as he could be. I think he's in a level up stage right now. Last year he did a lot of battles with experimental concepts and a ton of new power moves. He has regressed a bit compared to what he's shown a few years ago, but mainly just from approach. Like in this battle and a few others he tries to just swag out for too much of the battle with the slo mos and crowd rocking. He needs to get back to being technical. Lau is a good example of who Rubix needs to study since Lau has had the same issues Rubix has where their power moves are so insane they get reliant on winning with filler moves into power moves or spending too much time trying to swag out. Lau the past like 5 years has been insanely versatile and technical.

I love Rubix and Rochka and I always thought Rubix got much of his dance steeze from Rockha and Laurent and his musicality from Larry but became much better than the entire Criminalz due to his youth and creativity but mahn Rochka has always proved to be the outlier in the crew. His energy is unmatched and his style his just too wild for the competition when he is in his bag. As for Rubix I feel he always holds back when challenging some OGs (the ones he respects or admires) even though I fear there was anything more he could have done than to take a different approach cuz power moves for power moves Rochka would have the win. Laurent versus Kuty is either a tie or a narrow win for Kuty. Kuty came correct tbh. He's been improving his moves and we all can see it. As for Larry and Boubou. They both killed it. Any direction the decision went would have been right.

This energy version of Larry was the most prime version of him I may have ever seen, to this very day, and I’ve been following their work since before 2007. This was Larry’s most devilishly menacing performance in I don’t even KNOW how long. This is bucket hat or snapback-Larry energy on freakin’ STEROIDS. Also, only non-dancers think that Waydi dances well. He’s an absolute joke of a very unaesthetically ugly dancer (in how he moves) and would get torn to absolute shreds by Larry. I always thought Rochka was dope, but was holding Waydi back in 2v2s. He's always had a dope style, but just never felt fully polished outside of some specific moments and battles. fire as fuck. roch vs rubix was wild cause their approaches were so different. roch killed everything and was very serious, rubix waited and accentuated certain individual parts with far greater emphasis while switching between fucking around and locking in. Similar story with lau vs kuty too, except kuty was more serious and very committed to his buildup, which paid off. really fuckin sick battle. tie breaker was alright, but i got what i came to see. I'd love to see 50 more criminalz exhibition battles. shame that because they are teammates we hardly get to see these top dancers battle eachother. I mean imagine seeing rubix vs waydi or rochka vs laurent in a 3 round battle. i think bouboo vs kuty would be electric too. I'd pay an arm and a leg for 20 criminalz exhibition battle videos
