thank you for sharing your family story rau peb kawm. it is unbelievable that a father can be that ridiculous. it's so sad. but it is not you or your mom's fault. so proud of your success and how you focus on loving your mom back. your story inspired me. hope that you all can learn to forgive your father. that may mean love him and take care of him when he's old or his young wife run away with another yonger man. that will be the best closure of your successful life. Forgiveness is the answer. may God bless you all.

So proud of you, don't let your father's ignorance and heartless soul drag your family down. These days, the majority of our girls are the breadwinners, strong and independent. Your father seems to be those typical Hmong men just pure evil with every excuse to have another wife. He doesn't deserve to be loved by you and your siblings. Your story is sad but yet, it's an eye opening to those Hmong men who are evil and selfish.

Same here, my mom had 6 girls first and then had 4 boys and another two girls so my dad can’t use that excuse but the love was never fair. They do love and support the boys more but at then end of my dads life he admitted that the girls are better than the boys cause we should more love while our brothers still need permission to come see our dad. Now a day girls are more precious then boys so there a new way of thinking now.

I don't know if you ever told your father (it was not mentioned in the story) that it's not your mother's fault when it came to the gender of a child---being a medical doctor you would have known that the gender of a child is determined by the male's sperm, not the woman's egg. Your father's selfishness and arrogance is beyond disgusting, especially when he tries to justify his cruelty as the reason for giving you and your siblings the strength to succeed in life. What a misogynistic narcissist! Continue to love your mother, live a successful life, and avoid your a**hole of a father as much as possible. Personally, I'd go no contact with someone like your father, but that's me.

I am Hmong man but I feel that our Hmong men are very abusive in almost everything. It is good that we are in a country that has good laws. We should start to enforce the laws to change the culture so our next generation won't suffer no more.

As long as good Hmong men like you exist out there, and you guys teach your sons better, the future will be brighter for the Hmong women within the Hmong community. If not, then I fear the Hmong men are going to lose a lot of smart, good Hmong women to other cultures out there. For example, how many smart and highly educated Hmong women have married non-Hmong men because so many Hmong men turned these women away due to their age and intelligence? I hope to live long enough to see the tangible changes concerning this issue within the Hmong community, at least here in the U.S. anyway.

Beautiful story, I hate hmong old school folks, if you're born as a female into a hmong family, your have no value to them...I think this should be changed...boy or girl ,we as children didn't want to be born this way and don't deserve the hatred from them,they the one that made us..but if we're female we don't have the love from them,this is sad..hmong and Chinese are the same... Happy for this family, your mother do deserve all the love from all her children, Happy for this woman that all her children love her too, some story I listen to, at the end the children don't even love their mother too...
My opinion yes!! Like your dad say !! If he didn’t say that or doing that to you guy , you guy will not succeed , but what your dad did is a little over board when you ask your dad to hold your hand at your wedding he should not refuse , he should do it .

I am so tired of low life fathers who abandoned his kids and ALWAYS come back at the end begging them to love and take him in. I am so sick and tired of hmong men like this. I hope that once this older generation is gone, that our newer generation of fathers will be better men and fathers. Why don't these men ever learned? There are so many countless of stories and examples just like this by others and yet these old men continue to do the same.

They always want the spotlight even though they mistreat us in every way possible. They tell us our whole lives that we will amount to nothing, but in the end, when we are successful, they jump right in there and try to take all the credit. So disgusting

A man biggest mistake is to abandon his first wife and daughters and marry another woman. God only blessed the first wife…a good father should be very proud of all his daughters if his wife gave him no son. A father who has many daughters should be very happy because he is surrounded by beautiful ladies. Daughters nowadays love parents more than sons…proud of this strong Hmong woman😩🤠!
@ThePrincessWorrior2 жыл бұрын
If his wife give him no son…??? Sound like you haven’t been educated. Women has no ability to make genders, her eggs are neutral. Faith wise, it’s whatever God give you. But scientific wise, men’s sperms are the seed. Whichever gender he plants, that’s what the women nurture and grow it into that gender.
@kaoxiong61482 жыл бұрын
@@ThePrincessWorrior I’m fully educated man. I love my daughters and sons equally. I’m appreciate my wife for everything she did for me and my kids.
