Not the ending I was expecting in terms of Ying and his father reconciling, but happy nonetheless as Ying graduated college, landed his dream job, and continues to receive the support of his mother, ex wife, and younger siblings. Let’s hope one day his father will come around. If not, perhaps Ying will make peace with his father’s decision, realize the richness of his life and those still around him who truly love him for who he is, and move on.
