Kuwait Fire: These Men From Kerala Perished In The Kuwait Fire

It was a heartbreaking scene. An Indian Air Force aircraft on June 14th, brought back the remains of the 46 Indians who died in Wednesday’s fire at a Kuwait apartment. 23 of them were from Kerala, they included seasoned expats planning to return home for good, and young professionals just starting their careers.Most of them were employees of the NBTC group and most of them wanted to return home

All the buildings above 3 floors/ above 15m in height should have a fire safety staircase according to the building rules. And the doors of the fire exit staircase should be fire retardant doors which resist fire up to 2hrs or more. Also the building should be planned in such a way that people should be evacuated easily in a panic situation with proper signage for evacuation. Also fire alarms should be mandatory in case of fire. ( 3 നിലകൾക്ക് മുകളിലുള്ള / 15 മീറ്ററിൽ കൂടുതൽ ഉയരമുള്ള എല്ലാ കെട്ടിടങ്ങൾക്കും കെട്ടിട നിയമങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ച് അഗ്നി സുരക്ഷാ ഗോവണി ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. കൂടാതെ ഫയർ എക്സിറ്റ് ഗോവണിയുടെ വാതിലുകൾ 2 മണിക്കൂറോ അതിൽ കൂടുതലോ വരെ തീയെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കുന്ന ഫയർ റിട്ടാർഡൻ്റ് വാതിലുകളായിരിക്കണം. കൂടാതെ, ഒരു പരിഭ്രാന്തി നിറഞ്ഞ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ആളുകളെ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കാൻ ആവശ്യമായ സൂചനാ ബോർഡുകളോടെ എളുപ്പത്തിൽ ഒഴിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിൽ കെട്ടിടം ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്യണം. കൂടാതെ തീപിടിത്തമുണ്ടായാൽ ഫയർ അലാറം നിർബന്ധമാക്കണം.)

Most tragedies in the world always have Indian nationals.
