Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan spoke in an August 28, 2024 interview with Arabic Post uploaded to KZbin on August 28, 2024 about the ramifications of the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood Hamas attack. He said that he does not cry for the martyrs in Gaza, rather he cries for not being among them, saying that all Muslims should aspire to achieve martyrdom. Al-Suwaidan said that in Islam preserving life isn’t the highest priority, rather it is preserving the religion, and this is where Jihad comes in. Al-Suwaidan added that Israel will not “be removed by its own device,” but someone needs to do it, and this would require sacrifice. He stated that it is not the resistance’s fault if “this filthy entity” is killing innocent people.
Tareq Al-Suwaidan, was fired from his position as director of the Saudi Al-Risala TV in 2013, after announcing online that he is a Muslim Brotherhood leader. He currently resides in Turkey. Al-Suwaidan spent several years as an Islamic leader in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an unindicted co-conspirator in the case against Hamas terrorism funding by the Holy Land Foundation, and has been banned from entering several countries, including the United States and Belgium, for antisemitism and supporting terrorism.
