I thought I would hate it and I just bought it cause I was curious. Who knew it would blow up??? Just for reference. I’m very dry. 49 about 50. I’m sure shade but they didn’t have it so I got 57 which worked. Less is better. I use it with a sponge lightly:) It works with all lot of other primers too. Definitely for drier skin and normal. This foundation is amazing. I am 53 and combo oily and I hate a full coverage foundation but this changed the game for me. I actually mix a tiny bit with my sunscreen and it’s such a perfecting non-makeup look. You’re absolutely right on using the tiniest tiny amount especially on mature skin. I literally think I’ll have this for 10 years. Haha. Great review.

we had VERY different outcomes with this foundation lol. I was so curious to see your thoughts but I am so happy it worked for you! It tried it SO many times and each time, it was horrible over my acne, and even when I applied the thinnest layer it was cracking on my nose and my upperlip/chin was so splotchy I was so sad! It sunk in my lines, enlarged my pores and it looks scaly all over my face, especially looked awful on my nose and cheeks. Went to Ulta and they only had my summer shade left . Did a little self tanning last night so I could try it out. Color match was good with the tan ! I actually liked using a damp blender for application to keep it lighter . I am combo with some dry as I have gotten older (37) really impressed so far !

Thank you for giving so much info regarding your skin type and preferences? I don't think people realise how important this is. I want to buy this, but my shade is technically between 2 different colours (light 004 and light 012) so it's a bit annoying and I mix those 2 shades of the true portrait foundation. Not sure if I'd want to try to mix 2 balm colours

Yes, that was one thing I forgot to mention in the video. Mixing 2 shades with any Balm foundation is rough, but this one would be even harder because you can't use very much . So, I totally understand that dilemma.. I've heard several people say they feel they're in-between shades in this foundation. i find tan 57 and med 42 to have a yellow greyish cast, I have a spray tan right now using bondi sands dark and tan 57 is not working, maybe I'll try the 60. not sure I should go any higher than that. I don't like looking like its a mask... its decent for dry skin but it does cake up around dry patches for me.

Hi Tara! You’re my go to! I’m 45 but look 37 ;) So I decided to give this KVD good apple foundation a go because we have the same profile of likes abs skin but I’m lighter. My question as far as using a brush with it, I have the it Cosmetic CC cream brush 702, is the brush you use ultra soft or just dense for creams? Meaning your brush doesn’t look like a dense flatter brush like Rate beauty foundation or gently foundation brushes. It looks more fluffy spread out dense then tightly packed, so is that best for applying this? Thx!

Hey Azure. I use the bk Beauty A506. It's more dense than the brush you're using. I definitely have noticed with that Concealer, less is more. Applying a little and blending is key, then once it's blended I go over it with a dampened sponge to really push it into the skin. Sometimes if I'm more dry, I'll add eye cream and let it soak in for about 2-5 minutes before applying the Concealer. But, I definitely get better results with a more dense brush. I feel it looks more smooth and I get the full benefits of it that way😁❤️ Hope that helps... Thank you so much for your support 🙏 It means a lot❤️❤️

Yes, I cannot stress it enough. Using too much of this WILL be cakey. WILL settle into pores, WILL settle into fine lines. I've watched several reviews since uploading my review and I know right away as I'm watching them apply it if they'll like it or not lol. It's absolutely STUNNING, But dipping in and using that dip as far as you can and pushing it into the skin, it's one of my favorite full coverage foundations.. I've gotten heavy handed with it and it definitely exaggerates your fine lines, pores etc, but those days I'm careful and apply what's necessary IT IS STUNNING 🙌🙌🙌 Thank you so much for watching and commenting 💋💖💋💖💋
