Ah, Norway... Been too long since I last drove over there from Finland to look at the fjords and mountains. Beautiful country, though sheep are a bigger traffic stopper there than reindeer in Finland. Also, been listening to Kvelertak since their first album came out, 11/10 band. \m/ By the way, another great hardcore/metal band is Raised Fist from Sweden

These guys are fu***** crazy!! Best Norwegian live band!

I've been hoping someone would react to these guys. I've loved them for years!! This genre is called death n roll. This is from their self titled first album and the whole album is as good as this!! Another similar band to check is Chrome Division which is lead by Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir. They kind of sound like a cross between Norweigian black metal & Motorhead. Their second album, Booze Broads & Beelezebub is really good stuff.

In case you're still wondering how it's pronounced, here you go; forvo.com/word/kvelertak/ It's the norwegian word for "Stranglehold"! And this song, "Blodtørst", means "Blood Thirsty". 🙂 Cool with a norwegian double header btw, guys! I have several more norwegian bands for you to check out, Pagan's Mind being one of them, so I'm waiting patiently for that. 😄👍

I think it's "Blood Thirst". But hey, details.

FeistyFerret Yeah, you're right! My mind worked a bit too quick there. Or slow. Depends on how you look at it I guess. x)
@feistyferret72996 жыл бұрын
Happens to the best of us! :) But yeah, it sort of depends on how you look at it. Considering it spreads the way it does "thirst" makes more sense. To me at least! :) But like I said. Fuckin details brah. Bad ass band and bad ass track either way. ;)

I see some people think this is swedish, and that is wrong. They are from the western part of Norway and they sing in Norwegian. So, lets be clear on that. I'm from Norway so I should know:) I've been requesting this for some time so thank you guys for the video! Keep rocking:)
@Menilothes6 жыл бұрын
WindRider I can vouch for that. I'm living in Stavanger (South Western part of Norway), and these guys are singing in a local dialect. The closest thing to it would be the written version of Norwegian, called "Nynorsk". Look it up on Google, it's a good read if you're in to Norwegian music and history.
@draugen63045 жыл бұрын

I saw these guys in Tuska a couple of years back when i went there because of Wintersun playing there, i love this album, such a fun mix of great genres. It was kind of a sad gig since it was just 1 day after the mass shooting in Norway, the guys gave it all they had eventhough you could sense the sadness. Btw Wintersun are doing 3 gigs in Finland where fans get to vote what 10 songs we wanna hear live(from the first 3 albums), too bad we can't pick The Way of the Fire (I will vote for it anyway :)) I will go to the show at Helsinki atleast, the other 2 are in kinda weird towns(too far away) that i'm not sure i can attend.

Månelyst next! This song is from the same album. (I know you already listened to it, but your kid should listen to it too!) It's even more hyped, more melodic, and (although short) it's got a solo that reminds me of children of bodom!
@windrider61246 жыл бұрын
Benbong isn't månelyst from their second album "Meir"? This track, "blodtørst" is from their debutalbum. And what a great debutalbum it is. "Fossegrim" is another awesome track.
@benbong45776 жыл бұрын
My fault! Fossegrim is my favourite though. Their new album is cool as well, but it's less heavy, and i like it when it's heavier and balls-to-the-wall

This one had some punk influences, but it was also groovy, and had some pretty clever transitions in there, too. I liked it a lot. The video, to me, stole the show. I was cackling with laughter the whole time. The warriors are killing each other and cutting heads off, and they stop for a second to look up at the owl in the rafters. The owl blinks at the like, "Dude, really?" Later, as things have gone even crazier, the owl's like, "Screw this, I'm out. You people have lost your damned minds." The whole artistic vibe of the video reminds me of what a bored 9th grader scribbles in his notebook as he's bored at the back of pre-algebra class. Awesome.
