For the inner barrel, its still kind of rough but it does work, ran into small bumps but always been able to find a way around it. Maybe you'll find a better way to do it. So to start I dont use the c clip. Its the only part that stops the unit fitting, because the cclip has a pin that sits in a slot on the original inner barrel. Not all buckings work but I have had success with the Maple Leaf Diamond and the Flamingo. You have to trim the small arm on the bucking to make it as cylindrical as you can. I used the brass ring from the original barrel and wrapped it in multiple wraps of ptfe, this sits very snug between the unit and barrel. set the nub and put on the adjustment wheel. The Cclp also holds this in place, a wrap of tape or two behind it completes this job. I did find some sagging at first and a few wraps of tape around the barrel, fixed this issue. I do have it shooting and its real nice, I just hope it carries on that way long term. If you manage to improve on the idea, please keep me posted 👍👍

Thanks for the detailed description. I'll probably look into the topic in more detail and try a few things out.

@@Thedadoodle Yes, it helped, thank you. I dared to do it today and worked on a unicorn barrel. I added the side windows for the clip with a dremel. I shortened the pin on the clip. Now a unicon barrel and rubber are installed. Unfortunately I can't test the result yet, but the setting looks good when I look through the barrel.

@BSKorn1 can you show me the side windows, this could be the fix I am looking for. Found that the seal between hop unit and nozzle worsen over time, I believe this is because of the hop rubber slightly edging forward thus moving away from nozzle. I wonder if this would lock the rubber in place? Thank you for the feed back, I have been checking in to see if you had done it yet

@@Thedadoodle I would like to test it first before making a video, in case it doesn't work so well. How I did it: put a new barrel with rubber into the hop-up chamber. Checked whether it was far enough in and aligned. Tested whether the arm was pressing properly on the rubber. Marked the sides for the window with a marker, as well as the hole at the top. Grinding down the markings with the dremel. Unfortunately I couldn't drill the hole, so I had to shorten the pin.

Did you have to order this part separately?

the long outer barrel was shortened and a thread was cut with a lathe
