I just gave you a 6+ hour playlist with no context. Don’t worry, it took me like 30-40 minutes to pull. So I’m from Baltimore MD (you randomly had an Orioles hat on in a vid, that’s our baseball team 😊), my mom is from Jamaica and my dad is from North Carolina. My dad was born in 1945 😂 and he lived a full life when he was still running around, so he exposed me to most of the music I listen to. He wouldn’t let me listen to radio hip hop until I got older, so I prefer underground artists. My mom was born in the 60s, so she played more old school reggae. Plus we would go to Jamaican parties (Thanksgiving,etc) and they would DJ there too. I played the flute for a bit when I was younger, and I danced in high school for a bit. You said that you feel disappointed sometimes when people don’t respond in a circumstance with the same passion or fervor as you. Literally me, feeling hurt. So I’m going to describe a situation, please tell me if I’m wrong. You can tell me I’m wrong for doing the do in my 78 year old dads spot later while taking care of him and his spot during his knee surgery 🤣. So I had a friend that helped me out during this phase of my life by loaning me some bread and helping me find a spot to stay. Granted, I had to stop staying that this spot because he “didn’t know” that his friends do cocaine….. let’s digress. I had a package shipped to him and he was putting it off off and off until it ended up being picked up/stolen. He tells me that the package is missing from his door step, my mind is racing. He’s moving at snail pace, my package is missing, so I reach out to the apartment about it because I’m proactive. If there’s a thief in the building, they should know. Somehow, that’s a problem. Thankfully, the stolen item was something small. This guy tried to make it seem like I should feel bad for him because he’s been so busy doing whatever the fuck…. Picking up a package is a 5 minute operation at best. If I could access my mail without him I would, but I can’t. In theory, he should have taken care of the package first because it’s a small task. I don’t have time for you only showing up at certain times and then hanging helping me over my head. He let me borrow his address, then tries to threaten me about it. I’m the person that needs to chat in or around the heat of the moment in order to still care later. Because him putting me on the back burner only made me reach my own conclusion and solution about the matter without him. 2 days pass and he’s trying to act like nothing happened. Sir, you’re psychotic so let me hurry up and pay you back. So, in my mind, he’s aggressively controlling yet completely unaware. I literally told him, don’t take on tasks that you know you can’t complete. And if you have a heads up on the timing and know your stance, delegate that damn task. You knew last week that you wouldn’t have time to grab my stuff and hand it off. If that’s the case, give me an access code or have a friend help you. I would never play with someone like that, especially in this situation. Mind you, I’ve never even dated this guy or anything. So, now, all I’m seeing is that in every situation that guy is going to want everyone to prioritize him and how he’s feeling over the reality of life. No sir, I don’t revolve around you. No sir, I’m not about to let someone stealing my shit slide. No sir, I’m not cool with friends that you clearly barely know even after 10 years. Imagine. You’re friends with someone for a decade and don’t even really know them like that. Scary. Because he’s picking friends and people that suit him. You’re riding around in a fucking Tesla, but you can’t grab my package? Too big I the streets?? Okay 👍🏾 🤣 Am I crazy? In this situation, not in general. In general? Strong yes, highly situational.
