Kwatha Diary-Border visit - III

This is my third visit to the border areas. Last year, I visited Behiang in Churachandpur district located along the Indo-Myanmar border. Recently, I visited Dzuko base camp at the Manipur-Nagaland border. This month, I had the opportunity to visit Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district, which is also located near the Indo-Myanmar border. Kwatha is more known for its controversial border row. However, people fail to see that it is an idyllic and unexplored village with lush green vegetation and a quiet surrounding. It is also the only Meitei village in the hill district. People are very simple and lead agricultural life. The fermented bamboo shoot produced by the village is also well known for its taste.
So, this is the journey and visit to Kwatha.
