The line "That's the way it's always been" can just as easily fit with the concept the whole song has been pushing, about your special one being a defined person that exists out in the world. Besides that, what you're complaining about is the democratic process at work. The federal government should not be forcing states to comply with abortion laws. Repealing Roe v Wade does not make abortion illegal, it allows the states to treat it the way they want to. So if your state outlaws it, you can go through the democratic process of offering it as a bill and have people vote on it. If it really bothers you that the people around you do not hold your political beliefs, you have every opportunity to move to a place that does instead of trying to force your beliefs on the people around you.
