When I wrote here a comment a year ago about bilingual children who start speaking later than their peers some of the viewers on this chanel were very sceptical and unpleasant. As a teacher I have met over 100 bilingual kids and all of them started speaking when they were about 3 or even 4. It's great that you didn't stop teaching Roa German and Korean simultanously. Cngrats for Roa and her family.

While watching Roa speak, I kept wondering, "Where's Linda?" I hope she is still a big and important part of Roa's young life; and I hope we see her again. My longing feels a little selfish, but it's hard to completely abandon hope of ever seeing Linda's involvement again.

I remember I wrote an email or a comment a long time ago about late speech. I said it then and I said it now, it's normal for kids that are hearing multiple languages around them to start speaking later then other kids. At first, they just assimilate and stock in their cute little brains everything they hear and that is way they speak later then other kids. But they will be ahead of the kids their age when they go to school because they speak so many languages. My grandson is exactly the same. I am very happy for you (the parents) and for baby Roa. She is extremely beautiful and extremely smart. I can't get over how nice she put her little shoes in the right place after she took them off. Congratulations on a great job raising Roa.😊

That is actually a myth. Bilingual children learn at the same pace as monolingual children and aren’t more susceptible to speech delays than monolingual children.

Wow! I am so proud of Roa! I knew this day would come for her being that she has always been so smart. Many people pointed out that she is talking now due to the fact she was exposed to three languages growing up which I believe too. However, I believe what played a role in her speaking more now than ever is the fact she is in daycare with fellow peers like her. Seeing kids her age be independent and speaking will only encourage her to do the same. So proud of you beautiful Roa! Also, good job mom and dad!!

I think Roa really likes to get praised and thats why she tries to be independent at her young age. And that is really good because you can see that she has a family who loves her really much❤❤ And that she is speaking late is just normal. I was also raised with 3 language plus englisch in school and i think i also started speaking with 2.5 years. Roa is a smart, cute pretty Kid who will have a bright Futur . ❤❤❤❤

I asked the same question a few videos ago. I watched a few more recent videos and Linda appeared in a few short clips so it looks like she’s still around. Maybe she doesn’t want to appear in videos right now? But it would be nice for them to explain that instead of zero explanation. At first I thought Linda had abandoned Roa and moved back to Germany because they aren’t upfront about why she hasn’t been in videos lately.

3개 국어에 어린 로아 딴에는 힘들었을 수 있었게당 ㅠ 그래도 이젠 쑥쑥 자라서 혼자서 옷도 입고 양말도 신고, 지금처럼 이쁜 로아 씩씩하고 건강하게 무럭무럭 자라자~ 로아 화이팅~~~

일부러 방임하지 않는 이상 아이의 특정 부분 발달차이는 절대 부모의 잘못이 아닙니다. 그런 자책은 부부에게 좋지 않아요. 충분히 잘하고 계십니다. 대한민국이 출산율 떨어지면서 육아에 과하게 진심인데다 그런 부분에서 유독 다른 케이스나 가정과 비교하는 경향이 있는데 말 빨리 한다고 전부 판검사 되는 것도 아니고 말 느리다고 모두 굶어죽지 않습니다. 남근기(3-6세) 동안 대부분의 아이들이 언어능력을 갖추게 되는데 늦은 아이들도 결국 12세 이전에 비슷한 수준으로 따라갑니다. 교육자의 입장에서 말씀드리자면 전문 기관의 현란한 말을 너무 신뢰한 나머지 고민에 빠지지 마시고 50%정도 꼭 필요한 정보들만 습득하신다 생각하세요. 나머지는 부모님의 직관대로 하루하루 행복하게 살다보면 해결됩니다. 축하드려요
