I’m late but my 19 does same thing I hear it’s normal and just timing chain slack causing ticking sound, any other opinions

It’s normal on these bikes, they have really strong valve springs so they seat into the head hard every time they come up.

Motor sounds good, except for that clicking noise. My 2016 sounds similar, but that clicking noise is obsolete.

Replace the stock junk automatic cam chain tensioner with a manual one and a new cam chain and that’ll solve that ticking completely

motor sounds healthy but that little clicking sounds like a valve adjustment should get rid of just normal maintenence for a 450 nowadays all my 450s have done is since i was 14 on 2013s

@@ripdolph9138 I’m convinced it’s normal other than the timing chain needs tightened if you got a manual tensioner but I’ve built my 09 everything from new set of kibble whites,oem guides,springs,retainers,keepers, buckets, the valves are in spec new stage 2 hot cams, oem timing chain and tensioner but I’m willing to bet it’s the automatic cam chain tensioner cause my brothers bike has a manual one and since he switched to manual his don’t tick at all sounds like a different bike compared to what it did before he swapped em around that’s the only thing I could see causing it I made SURE my bottom was good when I rebuilt it or it would’ve been on the market place the night I tore it down😂😅
