Why isn't everyone seeing this man this is nothing less than genius that video would reach out to so many old people who lived those times I've researched crooked, listened to him since 11 and considering were he was born and raised. Now this takes storytelling to another level I say. Might have to watch again to really digest it all tho. Now I don't know if this is the first time a hip hop artist has taken a concept and made a short film out of it, and not that mind numbing stuff we're used to hearing, but it's definitely pushing the envelope for rap. But if I can be critical for a second, I sometimes see this black vs white narrative to be a bit traumatic in that it shows us being at the mercy of some other figure. I suppose what I'm saying is after a while you get tired of seeing people that look like you suffer from an endless amount of pain like a slave, and oddly enough it makes you kinda numb to it cause it's like, "to hell with all this suffering shit" because you wanna collectively get passed the scars. But the fact you're addressing something like this and in this manner still in my mind is a good step in the right direction in terms of using hip hop as it should be. To tell stories that need to be told whether we like them or not. And for that, I give you props for putting this together. Look forward to how it all ends.
