Yes except for very few things like doing surgery, flying airplane etc, we can manage with one eye easily. But dont delay retina treatment. Some recovery is better than no recovery

Don't worry. First get a retina checkup by a retina specialist. If retina is ok, then floaters will reduce on their own, but it may a long time as vitreous gel is dense in young age.

Sir what are the complications of long term Silicone oil inside eye. In 2009 my retina operation happened. unfortunately 2nd operation didn't happened . From last 13 years that silicone oil is inside my eye. Can ultrasound tell whether silicone oil is present inside eye or not?

I pradeep rustagi had catract surgery 20 years ago. During eye checkup eye doctor told me that your IOL has dislocated in one eye and to be replaced by other type of lense. Also told me for barrage laser surgery in one eye due to some whole in retina Plrase

My Son ( now 4.5 yrs) had lost his entire right eye due to retinoblastoma when he was 1.5 yrs old. I had read Pittsburgh based Dr. Kia Washington's ground breaking research on whole eye transplantation which is supposed to functional on human trial within a decade. What is the possibility of this solution in India?

Do you have few more details arround this? I am also waiting for this research for my brother. I did little analysis, Kia Washington has made this 'decade' comment in 2016. Ideally by 2026 we should expect something. But there is no news on it

@@atribhattacharyya2631 i am also a software engineer, i am a full stack engineer. 1.5 million grant was given in 2014 or 2016 itself. India has not even started doing research on it but I am happy that atleast somewhere it is being considered and worked upon. I also believe there would be some solution but not sure how long it will take. Along with this whole eye transplant research i am also hopeful for neuralink too, the idea of directly projecting the images to the brain is also a good approach.

I think as per their research, optical nerve regeneration is the current hurdle in human trial.. although as per their government medical abstract, WET gave remarkable result on rodent models.. unfortunately human eye is too complex to transplant fully today..
