This is a common misconception due to lack of proper guidance. Gayatri Mantra is not a stress relieving tool, it is the most powerful Vedic Mantra for spiritual upliftment. Gayatri mantra should not be chanted or listened to during pregnancy at all. There are several effective stress-relieving techniques in Garbh Sanskar, a pregnant women should employ those techniques.
