Oleese ensonga ennene how has buganda leveraged the NUP wave...it shows buganda was pro NUP but the leadership at mengo is acting contrary...they should have bargained for buganda on a number of issues..like ebyaffe..

Lack of patriotism and loss of cultural values (ennono), many now prefer their children to be better English speakers than excellent at luganda Buganda heirs are famous for making speeches in English rather than Luganda 2. Buganda has failed to push for FEDERAL, instead the Baganda continue to peddle politicians who only have have their selfish interests at heart 3. Buganda tusembeza nnyo. It means our power is becoming more and more diluted the more we intermarry and invite outsiders. Lately I hear most Baganda men are busy hunting a pretty Eritrean, Ethiopian, somali or rwandese immigrant than focus on building their culture, like the Ankole, Acholi, etc do. Even the Indians refused this back in the day. They understand well the power in preserving your own culture is a key strength 4. We’ve not fought to keep our land. Many are selling their ancestral land, moreover to non Baganda. Each time it happens, buganda is weakened 5. Mengo got more political and cares more about preserving its image than to be truly caring about preserving buganda culture and values. Mayega himself has mentioned he’d make a good presidential candidate 6. Buganda we need to keep teaching our history, document it. Every time we don’t, years from now, it’ll cease to exist as it happened. Instead it’ll be watered down and at worst manipulated to suit the interests of those who wil have occupied buganda. Unfortunately with the way things are, this is where we are heading to. As katikiro mentioned, it’s no wonder probably 15%of buganda could be left now. We exposed, vulnerable and we are only hanging by a shoe string to continue in existence!

Good point. These Kadogos fought Obote who murdered lots of Baganda and kicked out the Kabaka. They went to the bush to fight for Baganda lives and freedom. If Obote had not been kicked out, the Baganda were going to suffer a slow genocide. Buganda kingdom owes the kadogos a lot. It should have rewarded these boys in some way. For example, Buganda has a lot of land. They should give these kadogos land to do large scale farming. Give them a big chunk of land and buy them a few tractors that they can share. Let them farm and make money. Let their children get free education in Buganda's schools. People like Mayega have a job today because these Kadogos fought and some lost their lives. If the central government has not rewarded these kadogos, that does not absolve Buganda kingdom of responsibility to help these poor men. The kadogos need to organize themselves and challenge BUganda kingdom to help them. The kabaka himself went to thew bush and convinced these boys that they were fighting for Buganda. He needs to be reminded of this and that he is partly responsible for their plight.

Mr. Lubega, my view is that there is a lot of greed due to the prevailing poverty. Abantu abaavu definitely buli omu abeera asika azza wuwe nga yeeyagaliza...Poor people are easy to manipulate...So that translates to enkwe...it's all about poverty and greed. Another point about forgotten fighetrs is that the rulling group were afraid on the power of Buganda. A handful of morally bankrup individuals holding us all at ransom have destroyed this beautiful country. They made it their main objective to sow discord amongst all tribes, and suppress all forms of gowth (From poor education, public health, agriculture, ... to poor public infrastructure) Lastly, other regions of this country are also impoverished, and they have no voice. They are totally subjugated. At least here in the central people can speak a bit, but I sympathize with those in the far-flung regions...They are god-forsaken.
